So uh, seems like I'm writing again. Been a long time hasn't it, I visibly cringe at my old writing. I mean, nothing much has changed has changed. Just plot and headcanons, character personalities and all that other random stuff. Anyways, let's just get to the oneshot.

Killer groaned quietly, slowly sitting up in bed. He would have slept for longer honestly, but that was basically impossible with Nightmare's papers rustling distantly at his desk,  Killer whined sleepily. Shielding his eyelights from the dim lamp that was shining around the room, which had just recently woke him up. He scrambled to get of bed, legs caught in the blanket for how long he had slept. Slumping as he stretched out, hardly able to make his way towards Nightmare.

"Nightmare... 's so late, can we go to sleep now..." Killer's voice was hoarse with sleepiness, rubbing at his socket in attempt to see better with the light that was blinding him.

Nightmare only hummed quietly, using the little switch to turn the small lamp off. Making him almost invisible to Killer, which rose a questioning look on his darkened face. Slowly turning it back on, he realized that Nightmare was gone from his desk. This make him panic slightly, turning around. He saw that Nightmare hadn't teleported into bed, or behind him to try and surprise him.

Killer squinted, now going through all of their room to try and find his dear husband. Once he had, and realized Nightmare's dark aura had vanished. He ran out of his room, now running after the aura that was quickly fading from him. The dark hallways seemed to vanish into nothing, he felt like he was chasing after someone who couldn't be found.

He panted, tired from running. Tripping over his two feet, making a thudding sound. He laid there, curling on the floor as he began to cry. Why was Nightmare doing this? Why was he... why wasn't he asleep with him...

And then Killer woke up again, in a cold sweat. Panting as he squeaked. Like he had been screaming that whole time in his sleep, he looked to the side. Seeing the blanket slowly rising and falling, Killer got out of bed. Shaking his head and he slowly opened the door to their balcony. Which had been hidden away with a curtain. He slowly walked out, closing the door so he didn't disturb his sleeping husband.

Looking up, the moon was showering over him beautifully. It relaxed him, all tension has been released as he looked up at it. Then felt Nightmare, his arms felt so different compared to other. Him nuzzling into the nape of his neck, mumbling sleepy nothingness to him. Something about how he felt his nightmares and that he was sorry.

"'m sorry for giving you little nightmares..." His voice was barely hearable, due to it already being so low and croaky. The sleep in him made it deeper, so Killer simply nodded. He understood that Nightmare still had a hard time controlling his magic as he slept.

Nightmare opened his single eye, kissing his nape a little slower. "Maybe someday you'll be thankful for my little nightmares." He seemed to trying to imply children- which Killer had caught onto after a  few seconds.

"Maybe, maybe not. Now, let's go back to sleep. I know how you get without sleep. Now come on dear." Nightmare grumbled quietly before numbly slumping his shoulders as he followed after him.

Hey look at that, a cute oneshot for nightmares- anyways.
