Understanding

Josna's POV

Jason was laughing uncontrollably holding his stomach for what seemed like forever saying amnesia, bipolar in between.

"You are the first one to use those words to him after his family and me. You are too good, understood him in few minutes. We are going to be a team. Let's make him suffer.

I looked at him confused

"He is worst when it comes to memory. Except work he don't remember anything. For few years he used to call me Johnson. I thought he was teasing and was angry with him. Later his brother made me realize. He gets angry easily but very kind and nice person. Andrew, his brother and me are thick friends, always been together. His brother is more understanding and calm. I miss him" he said looking somewhere deep in thoughts 

"Where is his brother " I asked thinking something went wrong between them by the way he said

"Some other time" he said sadly

I nodded. He went leaving me near my cubicle. I studied the project we are doing. My day went smoothly except for unwanted talks in between by Travis. I cut him whenever he tried to cross his limits. Jason called me for lunch but I already had with my team.

When it was nearly 5pm I got call from Andrew's PA telling me to go to his cabin.

I went inside after knocking 

"Mr.Hansford , you asked for me?"

"Don't be so formal Josna, call me Andrew" he said

I nodded

"Office hours are almost over, let me drop you home" he said

"It's ok Andrew, I can manage"

"I love Ferdu's fish curry, can't live without it. I promised I will take good care of you. No arguments, come with me" he kind of ordered me

When I was about to answer Jason barged in saying " you are here, have been looking for you. Come l will take you home" 

"She is coming with me" Andrew said glaring at Jason

"I'm going with Mr. Hansford. My car is in Mr. Ferdinand's home. He will drop me there and I will go home myself" I said

I said bye to Jason and went with Andrew

We sat silently in the car. We reached Mr. Ferdinand home in 20minutes.

"Thank you for dropping me Mr. Hansford "

"You talk to Everyone freely and formally with me why Josna ? he said with hurt in his eyes

Those beautiful blue eyes has grey tint today. I'm angry with him for leaving without telling and forgetting me. But I felt bad. Then I remembered what Jason said about his amnesia and bipolar. I will start fresh with him

"It's not like that Drew, sorry Andrew. You are my boss"

"Please call me Drew. I missed hearing that. As per as being boss, we are working in same company with different designations for its development. That's all.  I want to be friends with you. Ferdu said a lot about you. I met you today but I feel I know you for long"

He didn't remember but his heart recognized me.

"Friends" I said extending my hand. He shook my hand

He came inside Mr. Ferdinand home. He was sitting in the backyard drinking tea.

"Ferdu" Drew shouted and hugged him

"Don't startle me" he said

"How was your day Sweety? Are you comfortable? Did this rascal trouble you" he asked smiling

He reminds me of grandpa 

"No pa, he is so sweet. I like office" I realized calling him pa like my grandpa.

"Sorry Mr. Ferdinand " I apologized 

"I like you calling me pa. I'm also like your grandpa" 

"Steve get snacks" pa shouted

"No pa, I'm leaving, will come some other time. Long day today" I said. It's true that I enjoyed working but felt tired

"I made fish curry" he said to Drew

" Take it and drop her at home" he said

"No pa, I will go in my car. I need it anyway" I said

I came out followed by Drew. I said bye and went home

When I reached home I saw Drew's car behind me.

He got out of the car" I know you can drive safe, just wanted to make sure" he said apologetically 

Why am I always surrounded by overprotective people 

"Come inside " I said

"You are tired and I have some work, will come some other time "he waved bye and left. I know he is leaving so that I can rest. So thoughtful of him. He is indeed a nice person as Jason said.

First day Mr. Becker(team leader) explained me the work and gave me simple work. He was surprised when I finished in an hour. I worked with Mr. Shastri (chief Architect of our company) since I was in my 3rd year of Bachelor degree so it was cakewalk. I made few alternative designs to the work I was given.

Thursday Jason called me. 

"You are too good for an intern, you don't need any training. Mr. Becker told me on first day itself. I observed your work this week, no one can believe you just joined office" he complimented 

"Dad used to take me to office, I was interested since I was a kid. I used to work with my company's chief architect since 4 years"

"You have construction company?" He asked 

"Singhania group of constructions" i said 

He was shocked

"Why are you working here? I mean your company is one of the largest in the world and you don't even need training" he asked 

I told him the reason 

"Mr. Jones( one of the chief architects) asked you as his assistant. I was surprised, he showed me your designs and said those designs were approved by clients without even single modification and they are unable to choose between the two. 

Clients wanted you to give the presentation so they could choose the design" he said

"No, I can't. I never gave before..." 

"You will do great... you made those designs in a day. It shouldn't be hard for you" he encouraged 

"When?" I asked 

"Tomorrow" he said 

I was nervous but Jason and Drew encouraged me. Everyone liked my presentation. The clients finalized the modern style one. 

I'm appointed as Mr. Jones assistant. My family was very proud of me.

It's weekend. But what can I do in new city? Maybe visit pa, ask Jason and Drew to show around the city. They might be busy. For the first time in my life I'm alone not knowing to do anything. With my family around I never had time to think . Time flies.
