Can Love Happens Twice

Disappointment

Jo's POV 

Henry and Jason went to office early. Judson went to hospital around same time. Drew is still sleeping.

I called mom. She was upset that I didn't want baby shower. She understood the situation but is not happy about it. She suggested that she, dad and Pa would come, talk to Drew and Henry and settle everything between three of us. I asked her not to involve in this. She was hurt when I said that.

"What are we for,  when we can't help kids? Drew and Henry are part of our family Jo. There is no way we would do things that hurt them. It's better if we talk soon. Try to understand, don't get things complicated" mom said 

"I'm sorry mom but please don't do anything in this matter. I trust Henry and Drew" I said 

"I will come and stay with you till your delivery since you can't travel" mom said 

"No mom, you can't keep yourself silent. I miss you all. Other than that I don't have any worry. Im happy mom" I said 

She was silent 

"Mom, You would have so many dreams about me, I couldn't fulfill them. My wedding happened unexpectedly, there wasn't any time. You want to arrange my baby shower but I'm not letting. Im so sorry mom for disappointing you" I apologized 

"You can never disappoint us Jo. Im very proud of you. I want nothing but your happiness. Don't think so much, take care of your health. Love you baby, I miss you so much" mom said emotionally 

"I love you mom, miss you" I said 

I don't know why I'm crying right now. After talking to mom I felt very sad. Maybe I was expecting mom dad and Pa... now they are not coming. It's hurting me somewhere. 

I feel hungry again. 

"Good morning Jo" I heard Drew when I came out of my room. 

"Good morning, finally you are up. I have been waiting for you to wake up, thought you would directly have lunch" I joked

"It was late night by the time we reached home. From tomorrow I will wake up early. What's for breakfast?" he asked smiling 

"French toast, scrambled eggs and sausage" I said 

"Tempting" he said excitedly 

He had breakfast while I ate Fruits. It was so good talking to Drew after long time. I missed him so much.

"What do you want to do?" I asked 

"I don't know" he said 

"How about movie?" I asked 

"Yes Jo, let's go to theater. What are the new releases" he asked 

Oh god! I didn't expect theater, I thought home theater. It's really hard for me to sit for long in chair 

"It's ok if you don't want to" he said 

"I'm thinking which movie to watch" I said 

"Robert Pattison's Batman movie is released" i said 

"I will check the timings" he said excitedly 

"I booked the tickets Jo. I will take shower and come, we will start in half an hour" he said 

We went movie. After half an hour I felt slight abdominal pain. After sometime it is becoming unbearable, I excused myself and went to restroom. I called Judson, he didn't take the call. He might be in surgery. I called Christi. I spoke to her last night. She is the one Who gave me emotional support and strength to be strong in this situation.

"Hi Jo, everything ok" she asked 

"My tummy is hurting so much, I'm in theater with Drew" I said 

"Are you crazy? Don't you know about your condition? go home" she scolded 

"But Drew..." 

"Pregnancy is not the only condition in which you have tummy pain. Drew thinks you had appendicitis but can't get operated and also back pain. Tell him you are not well. Go home" she said 

I thanked her and called Drew 

"I'm not feeling well, can we go home. I will be outside restroom" I asked 

He came immediately 

"I'm sorry Jo, I forgot that you have health issues. Can you walk? Do you want me to carry you?" He asked 

"I'm ok, I will be fine laying on bed" i said 

We went home. It was so hard to sit in car, it's hurting like hell. I wish I can teleport to my bed.

I got down from car. God! I can't walk

"Jo you look pale, let's go to hospital" Drew said worriedly 

I couldn't hold myself, I hugged him and cried 

"Take me to bed. I want to lay down" I asked

"It's ok Jo, I will take you" he said lifting me 

"Jo" I heard Jason's voice 

Henry is standing at the door in shock and worry. Jason is next to him

"What's wrong Jo?" Henry asked 

"She has pain, I will put her on bed. Call Judson" Drew said taking me upstairs 

I badly want Henry. I looked at him, he has the same look I have.
