Contradiction

The calm before the storm, that's what you'd like to call it. There were three parties present, standing there with different motives, goals, fears and also thoughts. An important moment, because it could be on the verge of a brutal conflict, which could mean even more.

Shido had finally gathered himself after some time and stood more or less upright, hearing his sister's shriek in his ear. He didn't really listen at all, because he always looked ahead, not wanting to show a wrong reaction.

He looked at the larger fields of blood that were depicted on the school roof, no longer seeing any bodies. Of course, he knew what that would mean. Surely he knew that Kurumi would not let herself be killed so easily, he was relieved but still wondered.

Even if it was only a clone of her, it was taken from her a Sephira, the life source of the beings who call themselves "Spirits".

He looked further up and spotted the other parties not even 30 meters away from him.

One side consists of a single human person, armored by a suit, which was designed a bit revealing, but Shido knew exactly what these suits were and what they can be capable of. Several androids stood behind the person, maybe there were 15, but could also been close to 30, the boy had other things to worry about at the moment than finding out the number.

He looked to the last party, the one he was most concerned about. [Y/N] was his name, at least that's what he was always called. However, Shido doubted the identity of his fairly new comrade, this was not the one he had met, the one who had been introduced to him.

Pitch-black eyes adorned his visage, an extremely gloomy aura surrounded his body. Around him, like a tail, crimson and distorted.

It felt like an eternity, this silent waiting for one to make his first move.

But it was only about 10 seconds, and then that silence was already broken. A flash of crimson lightning shot into the air and the two began to attack each other.

Shido was startled, it was inhumanly fast, even he couldn't keep up with his eyes. A few seconds later, pieces of the Bandersnatchers flew near the blue-haired boy. He awoke from his stupor and heard the shrill whining of his sister Kotori in his ear again.

He had no choice but to flee, for now. Tohka and Origami, who had also picked themselves up in the meantime, ran to him in their astral dress and escorted him away from the battlefield. Even the two of them, although they were considered strong fighters, did not want to interfere there.

When he was almost at the door of the roof, Shido once again looked into the air, in a low voice he said:

,,Even you I will save."

[DEM HQ, one hour before the event.]

Westcott grinned cheekily, beside him always flying several small Spirits called ,,Niblecole".

He pointed at Ellen, who was not particularly pleased with his actions. His plan was moronic, suicidal. But she knew he was up to something, he would never rush into anything. She trusted him.

She looked into his eyes, which by now looked less alive. He looked at the table he was sitting at, arms closed in front of his face. He grinned.

Even for Ellen something completely new, this was no Spirit as she knew it, it was a monster. She was just able to dodge the attacks with a lot of luck, her territory of her <Pendragon> CR-Unit could not help her much either.

Bandersnatchers flew at [Y/N] and were reduced to barely 5% within a few seconds. The Crimson Tail cut them all down in no time. They were useless, these robots.
