CHAPTER 45

I head out to the pool with
Vinnie and I's towels, he said
some about having to go do
something real quick.

The pool would be closing in
about 45 minutes so we
wanted to get some time in
alone tonight. But wouldn't
be surprised if we weren't
completely alone though.. I
mean what do we expect at
a public pool.

I close the gate behind me
with a loud screech and walk
to a chair to put our stuff on.
Coincidentally Kio is in the
next chair over, which means
time to confront him... I told
Vinnie next time I saw him I
would.

"You might as well have put
my name on your fucking
story." I chuckle, standing over
Kio who hadn't even realized I
was there.

"Who said it was even about
you? You said it, not me."
He laughs, dismissing me.

"No because we were cool a
few months ago and then you
randomly went and conspired
with Amber.. you know what
she said to Vinnie." I state as
Kio stands up to be taller.

"She changed, stop judging
her." Kio snaps, raising his
voice at me.

He is kinda scary when he is
mad.. all want to know is
what's going on?? Maybe I'm
taking the wrong approach at
it? I'm not good at this shit.

"I see the way she looks at
me, she's doing most of the
judging. And I know I wasn't
the greatest friend but she
doesn't need to act like this."
I recall with a shrug.

"You know nothing about
me." Amber chuckles as she
walks up behind me as they
start outnumbering me.

How was the gate so loud for
me but so silent for her??

"I guess you're right... but
neither of us have room to be
judging. All I want to know is
what I did to get you guys so
damn mad." I admit honesty,
growing tired of the nonsense.

Everyone grows silent not
knowing what to expect next
out of this argument. But I'm
ready to start acting like they
don't exist if they keep this shit
up.

"What going on over here?"
Vinnie asks defensively,
stepping besides me, not
even hearing the gate open
and close again.

"Your girlfriend was starting
shit as always." Kio answers
passing me a rude look.

"Anyone on this god damn trip
could easily guess who you
were talking about on your
story." Vinnie goes off, "You're
the one starting it, not Jes."

"I think we should all just calm
down, we need to move past
it, this isn't doing anything
good for any of us." Amber
whispers to Kio, coming to her
senses.

"Bruh my god I thought you
were on my side, what the
fuck." Kio snaps getting more
and more agitated.

I pass a look between Vinnie
and Kio wanting to get out of
here already, we can just try
to come back again tomorrow.

"Maybe if we stop always
exchanging rude words we
could fix our issues with Jes."
Amber comments with a
shrug.

"You can do that then but don't
forget all the shit you talked...
The switch up is not cool."
Kio concludes before walking
away.

To say the least I'm confused...
but hopefully this is the end of
whatever the hell this drama
was.

"Uhh I'm sorry for all that... I
don't really expect forgiveness
but just know I really am sorry.
My jealousy got the best of me."
Amber says nervously.

My only response is to nod
and give a small fake smile. I
think this is as uncomfortable
for me as for her.

With that she walks away as
well after we just stood there
awkwardly for a few seconds.

"Still wanna swim?" Vinnie
asks with a chuckle, already
knowing what my answer will
be.

I hit his arm playfully and say,
"of course not, let's just walk
on the beach instead."
