CHAPTER 17

Amber and I are at
the boys house again
for the millionth time,
I guess we don't really
have any other friends.

I just hate that Jaden
is here today, it is very
much uncomfortable.
He probably doesn't
even want me here.

Vinnie notices I'm
uncomfortable and
asks, "do you want to
go hangout upstairs?"

I shrug and say yes,
following him upstairs
to his room. It's lowkey
weird being kind of
friends with Vinnie now,
maybe I'll be forced to
watch him make a thirst
trap.

"I'm surprised you said
yes, now I have no
clue of what we should
do." Vinnie chuckles
throwing himself on
his bed.

"Let's fuck." I joke
as I lay on the bottom
edge of his bed. No
clue why I made the
joke, it just came out.

"Woah there miss
horny, didn't you just
hate me 5 seconds
ago." Vinnie laughs
wide eyed.

Rolling my eyes I state
jokingly, "And? I didn't
realize a hater couldn't
get some dick."

Honestly I think I just
get weird when it's
awkward. Vinnie and
I aren't close so the
conversation will
most likely be dry
and awkward.

"Anyways, you tryna
play a game? Or just
hog my bed while
watching tiktoks?"
Vinnie questions with
a chuckle.

"I'll take the second
option, I'm not in the
mood to get rocked."
I answer with a shrug.

Vinnie rolls his eyes
and says, "Not you
roasting yourself, but
I guess I'll just go
downstairs then."

"Yesss lets go, now
I can rob your ass
blind." I joke again
mischievously.

"Make one more
stupid ass joke, I dare
you." Vinnie threatens
as he glares into my
soul.

"Live, laugh, and love
swag." I state and stick
my tongue out, I dared.

Vinnie looks at me
funny but complains,
"Why can't we have a
normal conversation
for five seconds."

Not Vinnie probably
getting annoyed by
my personality at least
I'm not joking about
our zodiac signs.

I'm basically getting
tucked in or like
dropped off at daycare.
"Wanna go upstairs?"
Ditches me upstairs.

"Go downstairs
already little boy." I
snap rolling my eyes.

"Well now I'm staying,
and I'm older than
you little girl." Vinnie
chuckles, mimicking
me.

I flip him off and go
back to scrolling on
tiktok. Surprisingly he
kept his word and is
staying.

"Jess, wake up before
Amber leaves without
you again." Vinnie
chuckles waking me up.
I guess I had fallen
asleep for a few.

It is rare for me to fall
asleep in someone
else's bed so easily.

I groan sleepily and
jokingly say, "I'm
spending the night."

I really need to calm
down on the jokes, I'm
not even funny. Like I
guess these kind of
jokes aren't really like
laugh laugh jokes but
I'm even annoying
myself.

"You do you, just not
in my room. Go sleep
with your boyfriend
Kio." Vinnie laughs.

I sit up in his bed and
give a confused look
because I can't tell if
that was an attack on
me. It was probably
just a joke though, I
shouldn't be bothered.

Usually when I first
wake up, I can't tell
someone's tone. Not
gonna lie his
statement feels like
both.

"He is talking to like 3
other girls right now,
I'll pass on the offer."
I state jokingly.

"That's the homie
you're talking about."
Vinnie threatens.

"I'm just saying I don't
like your "homie" like
that. And it was only a
joke." I chuckle shaking
my head.

"Sounded more like
you were calling him
unloyal." Vinnie states
crossing his arms.

I roll my eyes and
rant, "Oh my god, just
because he is talking
to multiple girls doesn't
mean I think he isn't
loyal."

"Are you coming or
not?" Amber yells from
downstairs, probably
growing impatient.

I head downstairs
without saying another
word to Vinnie after
whatever that weird
conversation was.

It's like he is annoyed
at me because of Kio
and then mad I dissed
Kio. Like???
