"You seem different," Zoey comments.

"Different?"

"Yeah like, you're glowing."

"I'm not glowing, shut up." I playfully push her and giggle.

"Oh my god, you two did it didn't you."

I feel my cheeks heat up but smile and shrug.

"I hate you," Zoey playfully pushes me back.

I giggle.

"Hey," I grab her hand in mine. "Thanks for setting that up for us. It means a lot."

"You owe me one now," she says smugly.

"Ugh." I drop her hand.

She laughs as we walk up to our usual table.

"Poppy!" Hilary runs over to me.

"Hilary!" I match her intensity and grab her in my arms and swirl her around.

She giggles before saying, "It's a total disaster."

"What is?" I set her down.

"The art exhibit! The deadline to enter your work is the end of this week! I totally spaced!"

"This week!" I panic.

"Yes!"

"I spaced too!"

"I know!"

"Can we stop shouting now?" Wes picks at his ear.

"What are we going to do?" I sit down.

"I don't know!"

"Just skip it this year, no big deal." Zoey shrugs.

"Hey," Hailey walks up to our table and sits down.

"We can't just skip it," Hilary says incredulously.

"Oh no, I'm working for the rest of the week." I slam my head on the table after checking my schedule.

"It's just an art show. Big deal." Zoey rolls her eyes.

"The art exhibit? You two haven't prepped your projects?" Hailey asks.

"No!" Hilary says.

"What's the big deal?" Zoey asks.

"For students who enter the art exhibit every year and place at least once, you can qualify for an art scholarship to the college of your choice," Hailey explains.

"I'm doomed." I pout into the table.

"Cool, I never knew that," Wes says.

"Me either," Zoey says.

"They talk about it the first week of class every year," I sit up and look at her.

"Must not have been paying attention." She shrugs.

"Not surprising," Wes snorts in amusement.

"I have practice all week, oh no, oh no, oh no." Hilary bounces up and down in her chair.

"I'm not doing it this year," Hailey says.

"If we don't enter Dweezil will win," I make a face.

"That total poser, no!" Hilary says.

"Isn't he the one that always fakes his projects by buying some random pottery from hobby lobby?" Wes asks.

"Yes!" Hilary and I say in unison.
