Well while we were heading back to the car this guy went to go grab Belle's wallet

Well thing was Belle is BROKE

she had no money in her wallet
LITERALLY NOTHING

she used the rest of her cash for gas

So when the robber took her wallet and saw nothing in there he gave it back and said "I'm sorry- my mistake"

and then he just left

And me and Belle just looked at each like "what just happened?"
