CHAPTER 7: BREAK UP

"KAZUTORA-KUUUUN!!!!" I ran towards Kazutora and hugged him tight the moment he got out of juvie.

"I missed you so much!!" I exclaimed, still hugging him tight.

"Woah there, [name]. I missed you too and I love your new look." He hugged me back.

"Yo, Kazutora! You're finally out. Got any plans to do first?" We looked at Baji and casually removed my hug from Kazutora.

"Yo, Baji. Let's go eat somewhere first and we will discuss you-know-what."

"It's okay, Kazutora. She knows about my plan on joining Valhalla."

"Really?!" Kazutora looked at me and I nodded.

"You're not opposed of this?" He asked in concern.

"If it's what Baji-san wants, then I cannot stop him."

"C'mon, you two. Let's go eat before I set up another car on fire." Baji turned around to lead the way, and we followed him.

We arrived at a café nearby and did some catching up talks. While waiting for our orders.

"Kazutora, I have this friend at school who is also in Toman, and my vice captain. He helps me a lot in school and he even helped me write the letters I send to you."

"Really? That's great!"

"Also, I'm planning to get him and [name] together." I almost spat my drink when he said that.

"Baji-san!!" I shouted at him. I can feel my face and ears burning up. For sure I look as red as hell.

"What? You told me you like him, right?"

"I like him because he looks cool and kind and smart and—" when I realized what I was saying I went silent.

"Aaand??" The two asked, smiling and looking at me teasingly.

"Forget it! It's not like I want him to be my boyfriend or something." I looked away, acting not interested.

Do I really not want him to be my boyfriend or something?

"Kazutora-kun, is there really no chance for you and..." I shook my head and didn't continue my question.

"I'm sorry. Never mind what I just said. Please don't get mad at me." I bowed my head and did a praying hands, asking for forgiveness.

Oh great. I ruined the mood.

"[name], have this." He handed me over a necklace with a bell pendant—same bell with his earrings and Baji's bracelet, placing them on my hands.

"Whatever happens, I will never see you as my enemy because to me, you are my family." He said as he moved my hands to close it and his hands are now covering mine.

"Kazutora-kun..." tears are starting to build up in my eyes.

"Here." Baji handed me a napkin which I took to wipe my tears. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before talking again.

"Kazutora-kun, no matter what happens, I will save you because you are my family too!" I said in a determined voice. He looks confused, but nodded in reply anyway. I wore the necklace and played with the bell after.

After a few minutes of talking, I heard a notification from my phone which I immediately checked.

Reminder:
Prepare for the 3rd division captain nomination ceremony tonight.

"Baji-san." I looked at him and he nodded—he got my message. It's time for our plan to happen because tonight, Kisaki will join Toman and become the 3rd division captain.
