CHAPTER 24: OUR OATH UNDER THE RAIN

"Takemitchy, where are you?" I mumbled to myself. A cold breeze touched my face as I stand on top of building, looking over the whole Tokyo, wondering where's Takemitchy.

My necklace made a sound when the wind blew stronger and I hold onto it to make it stop making noise.

Keisuke...

Draken...

Takashi...

Hakkai...

Chifuyu...

Everyone...

I'm sorry...

...I failed to save you all.

Bzzt!

Year: 2006
"AH!!" I shot up from my study desk and woke up sweating a lot and breathing heavily.

They are dead?! Everyone is... dead?!

*THUNDER*

I looked outside of my window to see that it's currently raining then I looked at my clock that is sitting on my desk.

5:00PM

"It's still early. I have to go meet with Takemichi to tell him what I saw in the future—ah no wait. What if he isn't back from the future yet?" I told myself and messed my hair and think for a moment.

"Screw it! I'm still gonna go!" I stood up and did a little stretch because my body hurts from falling asleep on my desk. I then changed my clothes into a sweater and a pair of joggers. Before heading out I took a jacket to put over my sweater because it's extra cold today because of the rain.

"Emma-chan, I'm gonna head outside for a while."

"Huh? It's raining right now. Are you sure it's fine for you to go outside?" Emma asked as she turned around to look at me. She's cooking dinner right now.

"It's something important so I'm not sure if I'll be back before dinner."

"Just don't stay out too late, okay?"

"Okayyyy! Oh and good luck on waking Mikey up for dinner. Bye-bye~!!" I took an umbrella and immediately left before she could say anything.

I'm just walking my way to Takemichi's place and I'm not going out as [alias] so I cannot use my bike. After a few minutes of walking, I reached a park near his place and I saw the two idiots getting wet under this pouring rain.

"GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF TAKEMICHI!!" Chifuyu pushed Takemichi which made him fall on the ground. I decided to walk up to them to make my presence known, but immediately stopped when Takemichi started crying and saying a lot of stuff.

"How am I gonna save everyone!!? Mikey died in my arms... I can still feel his warmth in my hands. I can't take it anymore." I dropped my umbrella when I heard what he just said.

"W-what do you mean by that, Takemitchy?" I can feel my body tremble in fear and my legs started to feel week so I fell on the ground sitting. Chifuyu picked up my umbrella and placed it over me.

"You're gonna catch a cold. [name]." I immediately got back to my senses and Chifuyu helped me stand up.

"Please tell us everything." I begged Takemitchy. He did what I asked and told us everything he found out in the future.

"So that explains it. Takemitchy, I had a vision earlier that's why I came here. Just like what you have said, everyone is dead. However, in my vision, I was the only one left alive and I was searching for you." The two were surprised when I told them that it was me who was left alive.

"If you're alive, then how come Mikey said that he has no one? Where were you??"

"I have no idea about the exact location, but what I do remember is that I was standing on top of a really tall building and I was looking at the whole Tokyo, wondering where you are."

"Were you there as [name] or [alias]?" Chifuyu asked.

"I was there as [alias]. I know it because I felt I was wearing my mask and I was wearing a black coat."

"What a fucked up future, but to be honest it makes me happy. I mean we were able to meet again. I didn't think we were going to meet again." Chifuyu said.

"To be honest, same here. I'm glad you're back, Takemitchy. It has been hard for me to fall asleep, worrying if everything is going to be okay in the future. At least now, I am certain that I shouldn't let my guard down."

Chifuyu suddenly said something about beating Mikey that made Takemichi and I look at him strangely because he'll get killed.

"Mikey is too strong. No one can really beat him and no one can really confront him."

"Ehem!!" I cleared my throat to remind him that Mikey and I are on the same level of strength.

"I know I know, but let me finish. What I mean to say is Toman can do those. We can't just let you do it alone; you have us, [name]." I let out a chuckle to what Chifuyu just said.

"You're right. Toman does everything together to help someone who is in trouble."

"Ah the rain stopped."

"Yeah and the two of you are soaked."

"Hey, you got soaked in the rain too!"

"But at least I still used my umbrella and not as soaked as the two of you!" Chifuyu and I argued.

"Thank you, Chifuyu and [name]." Both of us looked at Takemichi and he started being sentimental.

"I made up my mind. Until I become Toman's number one, I won't come back to the future. This is my last revenge."

"We're with you, aibo!" Chifuyu exclaimed.

"Where are you going? May I remind that you two are soaked. Let's go to a public bath house to wash up. I don't want us to catch a cold."

"That doesn't sound bad. Let's go!" Chifuyu agreed. We headed to the nearest public bath house and of course I'm going to the women's area.

I dipped in the nice warm water and felt so relaxed.

"Ahh this feels so relaxing. I wonder what those two are talking about? Anyway, they better not think of anything stupid."

I wonder how's big brother doing? I haven't seen him in so long. He didn't even bothered going to Shin-nii's funeral. I should pay him a visit some time.

Hiii!! I am so sorry I haven't updated this story in so long and this chapter is really short. I'm still busy with college stuff and I just tried to squeeze this in in my schedule. I promise that I'll be able to update this more often this month since our Christmas break is approaching.
