CHAPTER 13: SA-YO-NA-RA

"BAJI-SAAAAAAAN!!!!!" Chifuyu, Takemitchy, and I ran towards Baji.

Chifuyu held Baji in his arms as I lightly slap Baji's face to keep him awake.

"Oi oi oi! Baji-san! This isn't part of our plan!" My voice is starting to crack, but I'm still trying my best to keep the boyish voice.

Baji commanded Takemitchy to come closer.

"Kisaki is the enemy." He whispered to us. He then explained to them how he found out while I try to stop him from bleeding.

"Toman was formed by the seven of us. No matter what happens, Pah's the only captain of the third division."

"Baji-san..." Chifuyu whispered.

"Pah-chin, Mitsuya, Draken, Mikey, Kazutora, Y/N-kun... Toman's founding members are my treasure."

"It's about time... I'm starting to hallucinate."

"Baji-san, don't say something like you're saying goodbye. Please stay with us." I cried.

"[alias]-kun, never forget to take care and be true to yourself. You're the strongest person I know and I have always loved you... like my little sibling."

"Takemichi, you remind me if Shinichiro-kun somehow. Mikey and Toman... I'm leaving them in your hands!!"

"Don't, Baji-kun! Don't say that!!" Takemitchy tried not to cry more than he already is.

"Chifuyu."

"Yes?" His voice is cracking.

"I'd kill for some peyoung yakisoba right now."

"I'll go buy you some."

"We'll split it, right?" Chifuyu sniffed and nodded in reply.

"Thanks, Chifuyu!" Baji gave us a huge smile on his face before he finally stopped breathing.

Chifuyu shouted at the top of his lungs. I can feel how much pain he's going through right now. While me, I felt numb. Tears continuously streaming down my face, but I cannot make a sound. I don't know what to do. I refuse to believe Baji's gone. I refuse to believe that this is real.

This isn't real.

He's not dead, right?

He just lost consciousness, right?

He won't die like this.

Baji will live.

I cannot process what's going on around me. I cannot hear anything. I cannot feel anything. I am losing touch with reality.

Huh?

Why's everyone running?

Where are they going?

As I try to process what's going on, I can hear a faint sound of someone trying to call me.

"[ALIAS]-KUN! WE HAVE TO GO NOW!"

"[ALIAS]-KUN!! OI!! [ALIAS]-KUN!!"

Mitsuya and Draken are shaking me to snap me back to my senses.

"Huh? What's going on?" I feel like my soul is leaving my body as if I'm losing touch of reality.

"We have to go now. The cops are coming." Mitsuya explained.

"W-what about Baji-san? We have to take him to the hospital... he needs to be treated right away!" My voice is shaking.

"He's dead, [alias]-kun!" Draken exclaimed.

"No. No way. That can't be true! Stop lying!"

"He died in yours and Chifuyu's arms, [alias]-kun. Let's go now." Mitsuya grabbed me by my wrist, but I stopped him from dragging me away.
