Your name: Penny Foden (short for Penelope)

Context: It's the Euro's 2020, England just lost and Penny's brother Phil is disappointed, but she has to be happy for her boyfriend Jorginho who won and is acting a little too cocky.

1st person POV

I kept my hands folded together, hoping for there to be some sort of miracle and have England win. It was coming home. It had to be, we all thought so. We weren't going to repeat the World Cup again. I took a deep breath as I saw Bukayo Saka approach the ball for his shot. As beautiful of a kick it was, it was saved by Italy's absolutely amazing goalkeeper, Donnarumma.

I let out a sigh as I saw the Italian players mob and jump on each other. My boyfriend immediately caught my eye. I clapped with a smile, he was so happy. I couldn't have been prouder. We made eye contact and I grinned as he blew a kiss in my direction. However, this bliss didn't last long as I remembered my poor younger brother Phil, was heartbroken at the loss. Being in the front row of the stands, I quickly walked over to the security guards to see if I could be let on the field.

"Please! My brother's terribly sad! Oh my days please would you let me in! I'm Penelope Foden! And I'm a nurse! I could give you a complimentary check up if you wanted." I begged.

The security guard rolled his eyes before one of his coworkers came and whispered something to him. His eyes widened and he quickly moved aside to let me in.

I raised an eyebrow, "Why am I being let in now?"

"Well you're Jorginho's girlfriend. Partners of the Italian players are allowed on the field right away." He explained.

I just shrugged my shoulders and took off on the field in the direction of my brother and the England team. Growing up, I was always taught to go embrace the losing team first. It's much more courteous. I shook my head when I saw my little brother with his head in his hands. I immediately embraced him as he put his head onto my shoulder. He tried not to cry.

"It's okay Phil." I whispered to him.

He shook his head adamantly, "We lost Penny. It was supposed to come home. Everyone thought it was coming home. We screwed up!"

I shushed him as he wept a little more.

"Phil, you guys didn't screw up. I can't lie to you and tell you that people aren't going to be mad, because they will be. Yeah, they'll say that you screwed up, but you know you guys didn't. Come back stronger next time. Crying is for losers. It's not going to get you back that trophy Phil." I comforted.

I stayed with Phil for a few more minutes before my parents came and Southgate took Phil into a hug. I figured I should go and see Jorge. I walked towards the other side of the field, giving sympathetic smiles to each player I passed. I eventually stopped when I saw Bukayo Saka ashamed of himself. I immediately enveloped him into a hug and told him how far he'd come at only nineteen. After I departed from him, I ran into Mason Mount who I knew quite well from both my brother and boyfriend.
