"So this is the boy my daughter won't stop talking about."

My dad shook Jetts hand.

"Nice to meet you sir."

"Kehlani has said wonderful things about you. I'm so glad to finally meet you dear."

"It's my pleasure Mrs. Dixon. Your daughter is wonderful."

Jett continued to introduce himself to my parents, Kelly,and Dave while I snuck away to see if Sharron needed any help in the kitchen.

As I approached the kitchen I could hear an argument.

I walked in and saw Cruz and Sharron arguing.

I went to leave until Sharron called for me.

"Kehlani, would you come in here for a second?"

I felt my whole body cringe.

I walked into the kitchen but thankfully Cruz was gone.

"Would you mind setting the potatoes and chicken on the table?"

"Sure! Anything else?"

"I think that's all. I'll let everyone know it's time to eat."

I sat down the chicken while everyone started to take their seats.

I sat by Jett and Ellie. Roczen sat on the other side of Ellie. Our dads sat at each end of the table. Sharron and my mom sat across from Ellie and Ken,Lucas sat across from me,and low and behold Cruz sat across from Jett.

Kelly was sitting by the moms before she ducked out to take a phone call.

"Dave would you like to say grace?" Sharron asked.

Dave prayed and we began passing around the food.

Everything was going great. Jett seemed to be enjoying himself and everyone was laughing and having a good time. I couldn't help but notice Cruz and his annoyed look.

"So Jett the season's great so far man. You're so young and have already accomplished so much. Very impressive." Dave said.

"Lots of training and long hours have definitely paid off."

"Jetts a star, that's why Honda signed him. Honda only signs stars I mean look at me." Roczen said.

We all started laughing.

"I mean Dave and I were blown away with the last round. That Colt had no chance you had him by a mile," My dad said.

Cruz slammed his fist against the table,causing everyone to jump.

"Cruz knock it off now," Dave said.

"No."

"Excuse me?"

Cruz got up and tried storming off.

"YOU GET BACK HERE YOUNG MAN," Sharron yelled.

I've never seen her this angry.

"You know what mom? I'm sick of this shit. Mr perfect comes walking in here with this slut. What has it been? Two months? Maybe three since things ended between us? Oh yeah and guess what pretty boy. I've lost everything because of you. My best friend and my girl. So you know what? As long as he's here I'm not. Fuck this."

Cruz stormed off to his room. Dave followed him while everyone else sat there in silence.

I looked down at the floor.

How could he humiliate me like that in front of my family?

Sharron looked at me.

At that point I had tears running down my face. Jett grabbed my hand under the table.

"Jett, I am so sorry for my son's behavior. This is not like him at all,"Sharron said.

"No need to apologize Mrs. Dixon. I get it."

"And for Kehlani.What Cruz just said isn't true. I can tell you love Jett by the way you look at him. It's exactly how I look at Dave."

I went over and hugged her.

The parents took care of cleaning up,so the rest of us went down stairs.

"Okay what the hell was that?" Lucas asked.

I was still crying.

"That's my brother being a dick that's what it was."

"Basically Cruz is jealous of Jett," Ken said.

"Who wouldn't be?" Jett said,making us laugh.

"Hey I like this guy," Lucas said.

We heard footsteps coming from the stairs and we expected it to be Sharron,but it was Cruz. With Magnolia.
