There was a reason that made people love Roxanne, being a striking beauty with the innocence of an angel was only a small part of the reason why, what made her unique and stand out was her honesty and bravery tinted with a little mischievous cuteness.

In the world of deception and facade, Roxanne was a real person who made it extremely clear when she liked someone or rather when she tried to avoid people whose origins seemed to be uncertain. Saying the most unexpectedly funny things with that innocent face and being nonchalant about it was her another trait.

Seven years ago, when Serena was completely new in the country, she had encountered the weirdest person ever as a 10-year-old child. A little redhead with two bright green eyes that were twinkling, blinked many a time while she sat on the lower branch of an orange tree that she had climbed.

Although it was planted in midst of the school garden, near the intersection wall of the junior and the senior ones, Roxanne had climbed it without thinking about the consequences as she wished to see the black-haired girl that did a cool karate move on the school bully and when his parents came to complain to the principal, after one hour they themselves were dragged to the black-haired girl to apologize.

While the lesson went on and on, the little girl kept waving to Serena from time to time, making the senior girl feel like laughing and crying at the same time.

Right now when Roxanne put on a lilac apron with cute ditsy drawings on it Serena could not help but feel terrible with how her friend was smiling despite something so serious happening to her. Darius and she were taking their respective seats at the dining table which they chatted with the doe who danced like a ballerina, gliding from one place to another, searching for some items.

Even though she made it look like she was cooking some Michelin star dish yet both the onlookers were well aware of her culinary skills thus they were uncertain.

"Darius" The man looking at his baby with love-filled eyes was interrupted by the woman sitting beside him.

"Yes?" Serena looked at Roxanne who had their back towards them for a moment as she rummaged through the drawers to search for something and the woman decided that this was the time.

"Something big has happened at our apartment and as you can see, Roxy is not feeling very well. Take her with you tonight, she is not showing it but in reality, she is scared out of her wits, keep her with you for some days. I will send you certain details of the entire fiasco but you have to ask her first, I can only tell you the details that Roxy doesn't know herself."

Darius felt fury radiating from him despite him trying to suppress it, his irises were sharper than blades yet his tongue was calm as he remained quiet, trying to think about the information just provided to him. Don't tell him that Roxanne's unhappiness had something to do with that fake woman Melissa.

He could tell that she was up to no good thus he had assigned guards to Roe yet even after his heart did not reconciled, he had to take her to his villa.

"Is it Melissa?" Roxanne lost in her world to search for tomatoes did not saw the two of her closest people engaging in a conversation that felt like a war.

"The shreds of evidence are pointing that out yet we are not certain-"

"TADA!" Skipping two steps at a time with a tray of cheese pasta and three big burgers were kept at the table as the girl bounced in serving her loved ones.

If it was someone else then Darius would have repiramid them as he had no idea why making simple cheese pasta would take an hour yet when it came to his Roe, all he could feel was his anger cooling down in an instant and looking at the plate in front of him in awe.
