Hi everyone, it's been a while hasn't it?

With this new Corona situation, it's been hard. Some of you have to stay home, some of you are front liners, so whatever situation you're in I hope you're safe. Please follow the health guidelines.

Umm so for me, promotions have kind of been weird. It's strange to perform with staff members in front of me. I was talking to Hoseok oppa back when he was promoting MOTS:7, he told me that it was really hard to perform on music shows since On is the type of song you'd gain energy when you can hear the fans chanting but they're just performing in silence.

I guess it's easier for me since I'm performing a ballad, but it doesn't change the fact that it's weird... Borderline awkward as well. But I imagine this situation is going to be like this for a long time and I wonder how things will go moving forward. How will the industry adjust? I think similar to how schools and universities have moved online, concerts will move online as well... That's my prediction, not saying that it will happen don't quote me on that.

Anyways, ever since I did that v-live with RM oppa where we discussed behinds for some of the songs we've written. I've had so many of you ask for another v-live. I don't have Namjoon oppa with me, unfortunately, but I have a lot of songs we'll talk about so yeah...

I have my computer in front of me and I organised all the songs I have songwriting credits for since that v-live. The number of songs is quite shocking. 16 songs in a year. That's just crazy, I would've never expected all of that. But what can I say?

Guys, you support a poet. I am literally a reincarnation of a modernised Shakespeare. That you can quote me on.

Anyways, half of the songs are written for my use and around 38% of those are for my album Flourishing.... I think? Did I do the Match correctly? I did...

Hold up why are you guys shocked that I can do quick Maths? Guys your idol minors in Mathematics in university. I can do your calc homework for free.

Do you all want to lose your comment privilege? I'll switch off the comments and not look at them anymore. That's what you get for undermining me.

We should probably get started with the songs. Starting with 19 by Stray Kids. Stray Kids is a group I hold very dear to my heart. Obviously, my childhood friend Felix is in the group and Chris oppa is there as well. The fact that they're an entirely self-produced group is really inspiring... They're just so amazing.

Anyways, so 19 is a song I wrote with Jisungie.. Stray Kids Jisung. The song only credits us two as the writers, which I think is really cool, there's no one editing our words to fit a specific narrative and that's what makes the song really raw. It's straight-up about how we feel now that we were turning into adults.

I texted Jisungie about which part is his favourite and he said it's the outro which is the same for me. The lyrics discuss how young and excited we were when we both first moved to Seoul to achieve our dreams. Now that the dream has come true, everything that used to feel so big and exciting now feels so normal.

There's a verse about wanting to go back to 13 since that's when his dream of wanting to become a singer started, and throughout the song the word 'back' is repeated 6 times. When you subtract 19 by 6 you get 13... Yeah that's just cool. Seriously this guy is a sentimental genius.

Next, we both wrote Sunshine. Similar to 19, the production for Sunshine is by Chris oppa, we heard the base of the instrumental and instantly knew that it was what we wanted. We brainstormed a bunch of ideas and slowly the song created itself. Sunshine was super quick to write, we wrote it in around two hours.
