In the next fortnight, Louis and Harry had too much to do and didn't get to see each other as much. It was ironic because when they lived apart, they were sticking to each other constantly but a lot was happening around them now that Hazz was moved in that kept them apart. Louis was dealing with talks with both Liam and the landlord, trying to sort things out with rent and who got to keep what furniture as well while Harry was spending a lot of his time with his sister so the situation couldn't be helped.

Louis woke up, expecting the usual skip of his heartbeat when he saw Harry probably drooling and softly snoring next to him. It was a sharp pang instead because Harry had already up and left. He wasn't sure why because he was usually the first to wake up, then would get Harry up after some minutes of quiet and a shower but perhaps he had more plans with Gemma. He understood why he was going to see his sister every day, they were family and hadn't seen each other in a very long time. Still, there was always that voice in the back of his head telling him that Harry couldn't wait to get away from him each day and reminding him of his own fucked up issue with his estranged family.

He felt a sudden heaviness on his chest. That happened every day without fail so all he could do was sigh at the bothersome feeling. Still, he had something to do that didn't affect just him alone so he shook off the sadness as much as he was able, rising to his feet. He went in to shower then walked out into the living room, exhaling as he pulled a tank top over his head.

"Damn, breakfast and a show... Pretty sure I'm the luckiest boy to ever exist," Harry called out with a cheeky smile. Louis locked eyes with him and Harry felt his face grow hot, gnawing on his lip. Louis made him feel way too special sometimes. His eyes widened when he felt arms around his waist and he giggled, smooshing his lips against his cheek. "Damn, Lou... M'not against cuddling first thing in the morning but... You okay?"

"Mhmm. I just... You're here. Everything's right with the world."

"Oh, really? Cos I remember yesterday morning, you went on a five minute rant about how Harry Styles is not allowed to touch Louis Tomlinson's laptop under any circumstances-" Louis gave him what was meant to be a quick peck, lingering for some sweet extra seconds before he pulled back.

"I'm sorry. I've just got work on there and I don't trust you with it. No offence, mi casa es su casa and all but yeah."

"...what?"

"Did you hear a word I said?"

"How can you kiss me like that and expect me to remember anything?!" Harry had such an indignant look on his face that Louis couldn't help but laugh, still leaning onto him. Harry was seated on the counter and swung his legs quietly, fiddling with his fingers as he let his head sit snug on Louis' shoulder. He blew a raspberry loudly just to annoy him but Louis seemed determined not to move and he didn't mind one bit.

Harry began talking about his sister's life back in America and Louis watched him talk and talk, smiling. Mornings with Harry were the best. He felt the sudden, overwhelming urge to tell the boy he loved him grip his being and tensed as his brain repeated this was all a fantasy and Harry would one day wake up and walk away. He noticed Harry stopped talking and as the green-eyed man's gaze wandered over his face, worry coating his features when he caught on to the fake smile he'd put in place, he couldn't help but agree bitterly with that cruel voice in his head.

"Louis... Seriously, are you okay? What is it? You can talk to me... You know that, don't you?"

"I do. Of course, I do. It's just... It's my mind being a dick, as always. Ignore it. It doesn't matter, none of that does... I'm just really fucking glad I get to have you here with me, love."

"It does matter. I'm glad, too. I've missed you."

"Not as much as I have." Harry scoffed in reply and Louis gasped, holding a hand to his chest.
