Fluffy blanket around me giving me warm feeling. I nuzzled in blanket sipping my hot chocolate. I always have liked to read books, they make me forgot worries. When dad used to abuse me other than Sam, books always used to be my safe haven, still are. It has been 3 days that jeremy asked me for date but he still not called or messaged me. I wonder if he was serious or not. I ignored my thoughts and started reading my book again, maybe he got busy with his work. Doorbell rang snapping me out of imaginary world.I checked the time, 7:15pm.Wow, I was reading for 5 hours straight. I rushed to open the door, surprised to see Jose standing at my door. "What are you doing here Jose? " Is everything alright? " I asked worriedly. He smiled, " No cal, I just stopped by to deliver food, my mom asked me to give you and Sam as she have recovered completely now. " My eyes lit up at the mention of Aunt Carrisa's food. Her food is amazing, always remind me of my mom's homemade food. I clapped happily, "come in Jose, I am excited to see what aunt carrisa has sent? " He chuckled and enter, "do you mind if I eat here? " "Not at all, I could use some company now that sam is gone to visit his little brother. " He put hand on his heart as if he is hurting, "I am just other option to you? " he said dramatically. I giggled and slapped his shoulder lightly, "just come in, you dramatic fool. " We settled down on kitchen stools and I opened the food boxes.
