I’m using Lida to measure speed today.

Baku boy was meters away from Todoroki but the both of them was left in the dust by Lightning. Todoroki and Bakugou weren’t as fast as Lida in the quirk assessment test even with their quirks working at full speed. Todoroki had to work his ice around the giant robotic remains, while Bakugou’s constants explosions were weak because they weren’t concentrated enough and of course he also has to work his way around robot remains.

“Amazing! One student had passed the first round of obstacle!”. Present Mic praised can’t really see who was the one jumping forward by the rows of robots.

While Lightning with his speed already faster than Lida and momentum gathered from jumping off of robots, he was on a field day of constant annihilation. The other first years following behind thought when they arrived all the robots were taken care of and just focus on getting pass the remains as fast as possible.

Oh how wrong they were; you see Lightning though fast fighter he is isn’t one to underestimate his peers one bit so he left the occasional robot behind only jumping off to get momentum but didn’t jab a blade in it. The others were terrified when giant robots smack down on them.

Todoroki freezes the offending robot and the other students were glad for a moment as the beast was immobilized. In the middle of this cheering two individuals were furious because they are falling behind on defeating their mutual enemy. “DAMN YOU ELEMENTAL FREAK!!!”, Bakugou shouts while Todoroki just grunts.

“As expected, most of the ones who had gotten through came from class 1-A”. Sniper commented as cheers erupted from the crowds.

“Class 1-B and the other courses aren’t falling behind that much either!”. All Might continued.

“Class 1-A doesn’t stand still, those who has fear planted in like them can deal with it and pull through. They use experience to drown out hesitation.”. Aizawa added.

“Also is that kid who’s slowing down yours Aizawa? He’s in the lead actually.”. Vlad king inquired his fellow coworker.

A single “What?” came from the other as he focused onto the little flashing streak that was indeed slowing down toward the obstacle’s end. Then Aizawa remembered that yes that student is his and for some reason that particular student was slowing down. Aizawa just nodded.

Lightning isn’t in fact slowing down, he was using his precious time to make more obstacles for others behind him to tend to, sparing some of the robots weren’t enough he thinks so he tore apart multiple metal scraps and lodged them deep into the ground charging them with extra electricity via jabbing a sword into them. His aim definitely got better because his blades were sticking into each scraps on the field accurately.

Some of them did miss but most of them hit, the trap was done hastily so there wasn’t time to adjust. Also people were actually catching up.

“I can’t rely on One for all this early on!”. Midoriya was following the pace of every student around him, they were all nearing the end. Todoroki expertly evade the field of randomly lodged metal scraps. But Bakugou wanted to cross this obstacle by a blunter way so he used his explosions to launch head first into a piece of scrap and got fried as soon as physical contact was made.

Realizing the scraps were charged, others immediately realize the flaw in trying to climb them by scaling so they decide to utilize the slippery ice path that was used by Todoroki earlier before it melts. Midoriya saw a random piece of metal laid on the ground and felt like he should take it along as another spared robot approached them.
