"Isn't that Kaho's voice?", Baji started.
With no more than a pursing of the lips, Haru surged forward, followed by a frowning Shimizu. Baji followed his brothers hurriedly, his friends tailing him.
"Hey Little Red! You should be home by now, you know? Isn't it a little too late for little girls?"
Again, came the familiar silvery voice.
What is she doing??
Just then, they reached the building complex. It was shaped like two Ls joined or a rectangle with one of it's width lines cut off.
Haru skidded to a stop at the opening of the structure, peeking out.
Eh? Why'd he stop there? Is it so hideous out there or something??
Momentarily, panic flashed through the older boys.
But just as Baji was about to overtake Haru, the boy grabbed on to his shirt, forcing him to a halt.
"No! Watch! Aneki's got it under control!"
"Don't be stupid, lemme go Haru!!"
"Watch this Niisan! Please!!"
"Let her go you idiots."
"That's definitely not the voice of a scared girl", Chifuyu muttered. Baji couldn't help agree. Finally, he decided to listen to his brother's advice, and hid himself in the shadows of the building, opting to see what was going on, instead of jumping in.
At the caved in part of the building, a few youngsters, probably about Baji's age, or maybe older, stood about.
Delinquents? Nah. Probably just a random bunch of troublemakers.
