Mel and I walked down to the local park. I had to admit, parks were are thing. We strolled down to the pond. Chicago was pretty in late summer. We stayed on the bench in silence for a few minutes. Just enjoying each other company with her head on my should and an arm wrapped around her. After awhile she turned to be with the biggest smile on her face.
She gave me a quick kiss before saying, "I really do love you Parker, I am so glad your here."
"I'm glad I'm here too, I love you" I said, sweetly.
We went back to silence before we thought it was a good time to go back to the apartment.
