Ezra's POV

"You fucked up," Roman spoke.

"You're gonna have to elaborate."

"You gave Adriana the wrong impression about you and Lily."

"But we're not together."

"Do you think she knows that? She asked me why no one told her you had a girlfriend after she came back from your office. What exactly happened?" He leaned against the kitchen counter.

"What do you want me to tell you? I told her to wait outside my office, that's all." I shrugged as I walked over to the fridge to grab a bottle of water. I don't know how I 'gave her the wrong impression' but there will never be anything going on between me and Lily.

"Did she say anything before you said that?" he asked.

"Mhm." I hummed while I drank the water. Once I finished the bottle I continued, "She asked if we were done fucking." I chuckled at such a ridiculous question.

Why would I have sex with Lily?

"Did you answer her question?"

"No..."

"For fucks sake Ezra! Do I have to spell it out for you? Why wouldn't she get the wrong idea? You avoiding the question practically indicated that you two had sex!" I hate to admit he's right but he's right. But I don't get why this mattered to him so much.

"Do you wanna fuck Adriana or something?" He looked at me in disbelief.

"You know, sometimes I wonder how someone as quick witted as you, be saying the dumbest shit. I'm not defending her because I wanna get in her pants. I'm defending her because she deserves to be respected, like every other woman. You need to stop brushing off the shit that obviously affects her. " I stayed silent, just thinking about what he said. Letting everything sink in if it will.

"You both have stuff you need to work out. Y'all are making me sit through this torture of watching y'all fail to communicate with each other. It's like watching a show or movie. Seeing the main couple not know how to figure out their problems when the solution is right in front of their fucking faces, is annoying. But I don't think your boring ass would get my reference since you don't watch tv." A small smile formed on my face as what he said reminded me of last night's events.

When Adriana fell asleep on me, I couldn't focus on the movie anymore. I loved the way her coconut scent filled my nose and quieted the air around us. All I could focus on was how calm she looked in her sleep. Her long lashes delicately brushed against her high cheekbones every time her eyes would move even the slightest bit. I focused on the way her eyebrows would crease and the way her nose would scrunch every few times for a reason I don't know of. The way she would release small sighs once she was relaxed again as her small snores took over. It was all fascinating. I noticed little details on her face that I never thought I would ever point out. And that also fascinates me.

a/n: little does he know what she dreamed about hëhe̸👹

"Something definitely happened between you two last night," he smirked.

"You're delusional, nothing happened between us."

"Don't lie man, she got you cheesing and shit. And this morning Adriana looked like she'd seen an angel. She even asked for your whereabouts. Come on, y'all definitely did something last night."

"It's nothing like that Roman." But my smile left him unconvinced.

"Yeah aight," he chuckled. "But like I said, you fucked up, so if I were you, I'd be on my way to the backyard. You know how Lily is when it comes to other women being near you."
