We brought Korra back to the island and helped her into bed to rest.
I helped her into her bed and she let out a sigh as she lied down.
"I'm so glad you're home." I muttered as I sat near the edge of the bed.
"Me too. I was worried I wouldn't be able to see you again." She groaned.
"What do you mean "see me" again? You mean everyone in general right?" I asked, confused as to why she just meant me alone.
"Of course everyone else but almost the whole time Tarrlok kept me hostage, I was thinking about you." She whispered. She was slowly falling asleep as she was talking.
Her hand was slightly shaking as it reached mine.
"I was afraid that I wouldn't get to tell you something that I've been holding in for a while."
"I- you- what- what is it?" I asked, letting out a nervous chuckle.
Suddenly, the door slid open and footsteps walked into the room.
"I got the tea you asked for. Peppermint right?" Mako's voice sounded.
I rolled my eyes and mentally punched him in the face. Mako's been such a pain in my ass lately.
He walked up to the nightstand and placed the mug of tea on a coaster.
Korra started to sit up and I was about to help her but Mako did it instead.
I glared at him and thought I should just leave.
"We can talk later when you've had some sleep." I said softly.
I squeezed her hand gently and then left the room.
I slid the door almost closed and walked down the hallway back to my room but I saw Asami turn the corner, walking toward me.
"Oh, Hi Y/N. Have you seen Mako?" She asked.
"Uh, yeah. He's in Korra's room right now. He was bringing her tea." I answered.
I saw her let out a huff. "He can't spend one second away from her, can he?" She spat.
"Yeah, tell me about it." I chuckled.
We both laughed to ourselves. "Come on. The two of us need a break. Let's go find a snack and then hang out in the library." She suggested.
"Sure. Let's go." I smiled.
We walked together to the kitchen to make a quick snack and then spent the rest of the night in the library.
We were seated at a table, flipping through our own books when I noticed Asami muttering things to herself every few minutes.
