Soon the pastries were ready and Neil presented it in front of Keya. Keya looked at it with much delight in her eyes.
Neil: Keya, Main khilau aapko?
Keya nodded her head in order to say yes.
Neil's happiness knew no bounds.
Isha fumed in anger while Mini was observing Neil's happiness from a distance and smiled slightly.
Neil fed Keya pastries and had some light hearted conversation💛💛
When Keya had finished her pastries, Isha left with her.
Evening:
Mini, in deep thoughts was sitting in the balcony with teary eyes when Preet came up.
Preet: Mini!
Mini came out of her thoughts at once.
Mini: (wiping her tears) Hi Preet!
Preet: Kya hua tujhe? Itna thanda Hi! (She sits beside her) Abhi bhi Neil ke baare mein soch rahi hai?
Mini: Nahi, Neil ke baare mein nahi soch rahi thi
Preet: Toh aisi shakal kyun banai hai?
Mini (still in some thoughts): Preet, pata hai kal jab Neil ne...
Preet (interrupting her in between): Ab ye Neil ke baare mein nahi hai toh kya hai? Aur bas bhi kar ab. Move on Mini! Tujhe pehle bhi samjhaya tha na ki...
Mini (angrily): Tu puri baat sunegi pehle?
Preet: Acha bol
Mini: Kal raat ko Neil ne apne baare mein sab bata dia...sab kuch!
Mini told Preet everything.
...Pata hai Preet, kal mujhe ek baat toh samjh agyi. Papaji ne jo kuch bhi kiya Babes ke sath voh bohot galat tha par unka rishta sirf Babes ke sath toh nahi tha na! Dadu-Biji, lovely bua, Sukhi Fufa ji aur main, Preet! (her voice became heavy) Mere sath bhi toh koi rishta tha (her eyes were wet again) Main na hamesha sochti thi ki kya unka kabhi mann nhi kia hoga mujhse milne ka? baat karne ka? 17 saal tak theek se dekha tak nahi mujhe! Aur jab mile toh.... (tears roll down her cheeks) Preet... Neil jab apne aur Keya ki baat kar raha tha na tab maine uski baaton mein ek ajeeb si bechaini mehsoos ki. Uski ankhon mein apni beti se itne saalo tak door rhena ka dard tha.
Tujhe pata hai, jab main uss din uske ghar gayi thi na, Neil apni beti ke liye ek toy lekar gaya tha par voh toy uski age ke according nahi tha. Papa ji bhi jab last time aaye the toh mere liye ek doll laye the.
Preet: Par last time toh voh...
Mini: tab aaye the jab hum 12th mein the aur voh apni 17 saal ki beti ke liye ek doll laye the...tab mujhe bohot bura bhi laga tha, Preet. Par uss din Neil ne jo realise kiya, shayad papa ji ko bhi mehsoos hua hoga aur kal mujhe pehli baar yeh ehsaas hua ki shayad papa ji ka bhi mann kia hoga mujhse milne ka par unhe mauka hi nahi mila...Neil ki tarah. Mil kar bhi voh apni feelings kabhi express hi nahi kar payein.
Preet: Mini! Neil ko mauka dia nhi gaya par tere papa ji ne toh khud ko hi uss mauke se dur kar dia tha
Mini: Toh kya sari galti unki thi? Kuch toh kami humari taraf se bhi thi na! Dadu-Biji ne kyun kabhi unhe roka nahi...kabhi kuch oppose nahi kiya. Jo papaji ne bola, woh dono wahi karte rahein...Lovely bua se toh mujhe koi umeed thi bhi nahi aur babes! Usme toh shuru se hi himmat nahi thi... Kabhi nahi boli woh ki usey papa ji ke sath rhena hai aur yaar maine bhi toh unhe mauka nahi dia na kuch bhi kehna ka (she hugged Preet and started crying)
Preet: It's okay Mini! Teri bhi galti nahi thi. Tujhe uss waqt jo theek laga tune kia. Aur kisi se bhi puch le woh bhi yahi kahega ki tune theek kia tha tab.
(They parted away and Mini wiped her tears)
(Preet kept her hand on her shoulder)
...Mini, tu na bohot zyada soch rahi hai. Itna stress mat le! Pehle hi itni responsibilities hain tujh par. Restaurant ka kaam, Arya ki upbringing. Sab tujhe hi dekhna hai. Aise mein ek aur tension ke sath tu apni health kharab kar legi.
Chal ab, uth yahan se... kahin bahar ghoom kar aate hain. You'll feel fresh.
(Mini was reluctant but Preet managed to take her out. They visited their favourite ice cream parlor and ordered cold coffee.)
Mini: Kya yaar Preet! Tujhe coffee hi peeni thi toh pehle bolti, ghar par bana deti main. Yahan kyun aaye hain hum
Preet: Coffee toh bahana hai yahan toh hum tere mood ki wajah se aaye hain.
Mini: theek hu main
They had coffee while chit-chatting without realising it was already dinner time. Neil came there searching for Mini.
