Aggressive knocking on my bedroom door knocks me out of my daydream. I shove my head into my pillow and mumble, "Come in."I hear heavy footsteps approach me. "Man, you have to get up. Stop wallowing," Zack says.
I groan in response. I feel two pairs of hands tug me to turn over. I see Zack and Tyler hovering over me. I just stare at them. Zack goes to say something, but Tyler interrupts, "Dude, you have to get up. I know that you are heartbroken, but you can't put your life on pause."
Since the day I saw Simone and that boy, I have been sad. I have spent my days crying in my room, and I haven't gone to work. "Leave me alone," I grunt. "I need one more day. I'll come to work tomorrow."
"Okay," Zack says pointily, "You better come or else I will fire you."
Zack and Tyler exit my room, but they leave the door open to be annoying. So, I stomp to the door and gently close it. I make my way to my bed but decide against it. My body takes me to my desk. Maybe I should write a farewell letter. I don't want her to be worried about my well-being. One letter and then I am done.
