I knock on the door to my parent's room. My mom's sweet voice responds, "Come in.""Hey Mom," I say as I walk in the room.
"Hi Honey."
I shift foot-to-foot as I look at the ground. "Umm, remember when I told you about the guy who wrote me letters?" My mom nods her head. "Well, we're going to meet today. We are going to meet at the park tonight."
"Honey, you don't know this guy very well. I don't think you should go, but I known you won't listen to me. So, let me at least give you some pepper spray. Your dad bought it a while ago because he wanted to give it to you before you go to college."
She grabs the pepper spray from my dad's bedside table. My dad comes out of the bathroom, "We can't send Si! Simone, go to your room while your mom and I talk."
I go to room and seat on my bed. My leg is bouncing up and down from nervousness. I can heat my parents arguing. I decide to think with my heart rather than my head. I grab my shoes and sneak out. I run to my desk and write a note that I will be at the park beside the mall, and if I'm not back or don't contact them by 2 P.M., call the police.
I open up the window to my room and sneak out. I decide to run to the park.
