Chapter 4: Pride

"You're gay?" I didn't know, but I was more shocked than I hoped to be.

"Yeah. I am not attracted to girls no matter how sexy they are." He chuckles.

I blink a couple times, and start to giggle. He looks at me, and chuckles. "What's so funny?" He says with a cheesy grin.

"Men are just as sexy as women. I respect it totally." I pat his arm.

"Guess so. Man those broad shoulders." He blushes. "A perception of a man just turns me on."

"I get what you mean. We are on the same boat." I point to me then him.

"Haha so right!" He snickers, and messes up my hair. "Oops. Just had to."

"It's okay." I look at my phone. "Oh shit I need to get going. You know, dinner."

"Gotcha. I will stay here, and play. Enjoy your dinner." He smiles, and waves as I left the park.

What a nice guy. Didn't see that coming at all. I suppose it is good he likes someone else. Would have been an issue if he were to like me. Then again...what about Samantha?

~~~~~~
"He's gay?!" Samantha's jaw dropped, and I could see disappointment on her face. "All the hot guys are always gay. I bet Angel is too." She pouts.
"Who knows. Haha if he is then that would be pretty hot." I blush at the thought.
"Stupid! Don't say that! You need to have him." She smiles.
"Maybe." I look down at my hands. I wish they could be held by Angel. Maybe one day.
~~~~~~

The rain pours down hard one morning as I was heading to university. I didn't bring my umbrella which is a pretty dumb move, but I didn't think it would rain as heavy as it did.

I quickly made it into the building. My heart felt heavy, but at the same time...so light. Maybe light since I didn't have the weight of being Jesse's girlfriend. Maybe heavy because I still couldn't convey my feelings to Angel.

"Hey." I felt a hand grab my shoulder. I look up to see Angel. He has a small smile.

"Angel!" I start blushing mad.

"I hate the rain." He shakes his umbrella as his eyes looks at me. "You didn't have your umbrella?"

"No. I didn't think it would rain so much." I giggle.

"Oh. Shame. I guess it is Korean class now huh?"

"Yes." I look down slightly to hide my rosy cheeks.

"Come on." He starts walking to Korean class, and I follow behind him.

He looks back at me slightly. Then slows down his pace. "Don't walk behind me." He chuckles.

"S-sorry. I just...I don't know." My words were sloppy. I am too nervous. He has never approached me first so this was something new.

"Haha you are a funny one." He makes it to class, and saw a slip of paper on the closed door. "Hm looks like class is canceled." He shows me the note.

"Weird, he should of emailed us then." I felt relieved. Just didn't know why Samantha didn't tell me.

"Yeah." He nods. "Want to go down to the cafeteria?"

"Sure!" I look up in surprise. Is Angel really making small talk with me? I am so happy.

We both walk downstairs to the cafeteria. I went to get a salad. Angel went to get fries, and we sat at a table near the corner by the window. The window view there is marvelous. You could see all the tall trees lining up the baseball field. Sadly today it was all soaking up in rain.
