Chapter 9: Endless
"Hey! Are you lost?" A girl with pink hair spoke to me on my first semester in high school. I enrolled as a junior since I had recently moved so I had to switch schools along the way. It was a pain. However seeing this girl changed my bad mood completely. She was gorgeous! I instantly fell for her at first glance.
I cleared my throat a bit. "Yeah I am kinda lost. I'm looking for the east entrance." I knew I was blushing, but kept my cool.
She started laughing. I didn't know why exactly. She points behind me. There was an entrance door that said 'East Entrance.' My blushing had only gotten worse at that point.
"Haha you are so silly! I guess first days are always the worst. I got nervous too, but I already stayed here for two years so I'm good. My name is Alice! How about you?"
"Jesse." I said shyly.
"You have a really heavy heavy British accent." She looks at me in awe.
"So do you!" I laughed.
"Can you do an American accent?" She says while looking super curious. It was a cute face she made.
"I can try." I cleared my throat. I wasn't too good on making an American accent, but I wanted to see Alice happy so I tried my best. "Hello, I'm Jesse, how are you today?"
"Pretty good!" She laughs.
I smiled at her happy nature.

"Dad I'm home!" I called out, and saw my dad in the kitchen cooking up something for dinner.
"How was your first day of high school here?"
"Pretty okay. I met this really pretty girl." I looked away from embarrassment.
"Oh finally." He laughs. "Your sister is here to visit for a while."
I love my sister. She is only my stepsister, but she is really sweet. She doesn't live with us since she moved back to live on her own in Japan. She would visit so often.
"Can't wait." I said.
"Your mother won't be here. She is visiting some relatives downtown."
"That's cool." I grabbed a banana, and ate it in a couple bites. I was starving.
My dad remarried since my mom was a alcoholic, and was really hurtful towards my dad. I was happy when he told me he found a woman he could relate to. Apparently he met her during his trip to Japan. I found it strange he would marry someone in Japan when we lived all the way in London. He just told me love is love no matter the distance.
"I'm home! I got a special guest with me!" Machi's voice rung through the whole house.
I went to greet her, and saw a guy by her side. He was tall, and looked like the type that had no emotions. Could this be her boyfriend?
"Wow who do we have here?" My father said with a big grin on his face.
"Jesse, dad....this is my boyfriend Sun Min Yun. Sun Min, this is my stepdad, and stepbrother." She smiles happily. It was nice seeing my sister so happy. It made me almost want a girlfriend for myself.
~~~~~~
That evening, I went out to the front porch to jot down song lyrics. Night time was the only time I could produce decent lyrics. I looked up to the sky which was bright due to the full moon. I closed my eyes, and heard the crickets. The neighborhood was quiet, and peaceful.
