Chapter 16: Development
It felt weird to be back in London. The air smells different, and I felt lost once again. Should I tell Alice how I feel? What is it that I even feel?
"Hey!" Jordan ran towards me. He wasn't a close friend, but we chat here, and there. He had a stack of flyers in his hands. "Want to come to the football game next week?"
I shook my head. "No thanks. I will be having plans."
"With your girl?" He smirks.
"We broke up. I am currently solo." I chuckled.
"Aw man I'm sorry. She was fine too."
"You didn't even know how she looked like." I sighed.
He chuckles. "If you chose her, then she must be decent."
I felt the pain in my heart. The talk of Machi didn't ease the pain either. Just the thought of her being with another made me uneasy.
I wanted to believe in my head that I had moved on. That I had feelings for Alice. However, I just realize as time passes that I only want her around because she gave me the attention I wanted when I needed it most. That wasn't a good enough conclusion to say that I had romantic feelings for her.
We passed by a magazine rack, and of course Machi's photos were everywhere. Talks of her, and her new boyfriend were the front news. I tried to avoid my eyes, but my curiosity got the best of me.
I halted my step, and went to pay for the magazine. Jordan gave me a puzzled look, and chuckles at me. "Since when did you partake in buying this shit?"
"I don't normally." I looked down at the magazine. It was made for those teen girls that love gossip. I guess it was a bit strange for me to have bought this.
"There isn't even any naked chicks in this one." He groans.
"I don't care about that."
"You into dudes?"
I sighed. "No. Seeing a girl naked isn't that amusing honestly." I shrugged.
His eyes widen. "How?! You must be into the hot dog rather than the buns then." He chuckles.
"Seeing a guy naked does not get me riled up at all." I laughed. "I'm pretty straight, but I do give women respect." I felt I was lying. I didn't hesitate to even hit Machi. She just irritated me.
Jordan peeks down at the magazine. "Gee that Madoka girl is blowing up everywhere on the news. It's kinda annoying. I mean...she had an affair, so what? So many ordinary people are doing the same thing, but no one pays attention to us."
"It is because she's famous." I mumbled.
"Yeah exactly! So stupid. Almost as dumb as that dude that turned into a woman. Who gives a shit!" He gets riled up, but my ears weren't hearing him. I was too focused on the photo spread in the mid of the magazine. There were photos of Machi, and this new guy holding hands, and what seems to be a date. I felt hurt. I didn't know it would feel this way.
"I don't like her."
Jordan finally shuts up, and stares my way. "Madoka? I don't like her either. She seems like a arrogant bitch."
"She is."
"I am pretty sure she is. All these famous bitches are always so stuck up. Watch this relationship only last a week."
In a way I was glad Jordan was a bad mouthed kid. When he would rant or get mad, it would be the funniest thing to me.
"Who knows." I shrugged. I tried playing it off as we reached the campus. "I will catch you later." I slapped his arm, and zoomed off towards class.
