Vampire Eyes

A moon dances across a red sea iris

Eyes that catch you like a deadly virus

Words that cut like cold winter air

A soulless husk that vilifies love but not hate

A venomous tongue cradling lies behind fanged gates

Hate bleeding from a cold heart gifted from misfortunate men

Vampire eyes a curse passed down from righteous clans to vindictive kin

They tear the love from our hearts as if it was too heavy to bear

Hate washes over our eyes, blinding mankind, and we don't care

Compelled to snuff out opposing ideals of life for the survival of our earth

Possing as hateful angels to younger generations hoping more demons will be birth

Preaching anger and hate will save our poor hearts and turn a profit

The teeth of hate sink deep, turning neighbors, friends, even prophets

Like blood on a rose, dare to oppose, the nature of the demon within

Don't live in vain, look past their veins, the heart holds love, not just sin

Raise stakes against the temptation of evil, shed worries of all fright

Creatures cloaked by the moon, we shall become protectors of the night

Vampire eyes glare past the flesh and hear heart's hopeful breaths

Blood, the life force we all bleed, fills us with life and wealth
