Love Over the Years

I peer across the room to see your nose deep in a book. So calm and yet stressed in your eyes I can't help but look
Your hair is uneven, theres bags under your eyes
And yet you're more beautiful then the richest skies

You say your laugh is dorky and ugly and how it sounds awful to your ears
Yet it warms my soul to hear it even after all these years

All your quirks and flaws I've seen them all
Yet every day I dont just love you I fall for you again and again i fall

Your body against mines at night as you sleep with your guard down
So peaceful it fills my heart with an ocean of love where it can drown

Our fights sting like a wasp and we want to be alone
But we always come back and fix our broken home

I say it a million times and sometimes I wonder if you get bored
I say I love you so much the memory in your brain of that word is bulked together in a horde

We grow old together but you make me feel so young and pure
If life was a sickness your lips are the cure

Every kiss feels like the first and I hope its not the last
All the heart aches I endure way back in the past

Was worth it all to have this piece of heaven in my arms to keep
Loving you was the greatest leap of faith I've ever leaped
