Love finds a way.
A couple fighting, shouting coarse words that sting the heart
They storm off to separate rooms and yet it hurts to be apart
They cry and put their hands against the wall
Not knowing their partner is doing the same down the hall
They cry, they shout, but they swallow their pride
They reunite, knowing it takes more to make their love die
A hug, a kiss, a sorry to set things right
Love finds a way to pull us together through any fight.
A heart void of all hope and compassion
Betrayed by a deep love from another, receding was the only logical reaction.
Stubborn from pain and driven by fear
The heart swears it won't open its doors year after year
Then one day, a bump into a stranger
One look in their eyes and the heart knows it's in danger
A familiar beat once forgotten in the chest rises anew
Memories of the past fall, some stay but only a few
With new vigor and fire, passion burns through the night
Once fearing darkness, the heart fights for the incandescent light
Even though our past and scars tell us love does nothing but betray
Love still finds a way.
Finally a soul, lost in space drifting through the stars
Head way above the clouds, but reality makes sure they never go to far
Dreaming of wings that will help them fly across the sky
Insecurities keeping the soul only asking why
"Why would they love me? I'm not that great"
The soul writes its destiny on a stone slate
Giving up hope that reality can be fun
"This is my life and what's done is done"
But love strikes without hesitating and cures the most stubborn of souls
Filling the heart with passion until once again whole
Creating art, music, many inspirations that will live forever
Teaching the hopeless heart that life gets better
For when we can't see why others would love our soul
Love finds a way to show us that we aren't so dull
So when things seem bleak and they cant get any worse
Know you are not doomed in an eternal curse
When darkness blankets your sky and you begin to miss the day
Love will show you that there's always a way
