Leave a light

When you hit rock bottom and feel the cold ground

all the air knocked from your lungs without a sound

your hands reach out to nothing but air

where darkness watches over you with a glare

When we stay huddled up letting nothing inside

where all hope fades and we want to die

Light a fire in your heart and burn with all your might

Fight the darkness with a love so bright

Let the embers singe your tears away

Tell the night you won't let it stay

Believe the sun will rise again

Pray the rays wash away past sins

Punch the ground and get back on your feet

You're stronger then any armada or fleet

Light a beacon up in your balcony

Look past the dark and find the beauty

Dust off the ashes off your chest

Know that you are doing your best

As the light shows you the path ahead

Leave your demons behind in bed

Keep your light in the sky for others to follow

They'll see how bright you burn and refrain from turning hallow

And when you fall again and you look back you will see not black but grey

Let how you stood when you thought you'd break show you the way
