The only girl that loved him was afraid of the dark yet she still looked within
When she saw his soul she screamed and pronounced it was all sin
She couldn't sink but wouldn't swim
But leaving wasn't on a whim
The challange was far too strong.
Why fight the pain, why is love the only game, he didn't know what was wrong.
You fear the dark she's the light please don't take away his sun.
He cried his tears and faced his fears and yet he feels so undone
Unweave the smile stay a while and maybe you'll see the truth
He's a monster of his past fighting for a future where the present is his home.
She wouldn't stay, who's to blame, he drops his hopes at bay.
Please go away please look away before you see what I've done
I've butchered my eyes, blood rains from the skies, and the journey has just begun.
A modern Frankenstein but he won't deny, he gladly screams "this monster is mines."
Chains around his heart, dirty spare parts from an empty store mart.
Ice grabs his spine, he smiles, and claims it's all fine.
Till fire or light he puts up a fight
But in the end it will fade the next day
Once the darkness had it's away his sorrow will decay.
