JENNIE

I go back to the room a little late. As soon as I leave the bathroom, I see Jisoo in her pajamas as she eats.

"Where did you shower?"

"On here."

"When I arrived, you weren't there." I sit opposite her.

"I was on the balcony. I heard you coming." she goes back to eating her fried chicken. "I ordered your dinner. I don't know if you have plans for later" I hear the nudge "Anyway, it's there."

"I have no plans other than to have dinner and sleep with my girlfriend." I say and see her choke.

"Girlfriend?" She looks at me seriously.

"All right, do you want to finish? Put an end to everything?" She is silent "Come on, answer me."

"I don't know, Jennie." She sighs and gets up.

"You hate me, right? You can't stand being around me, so I'll ask you last time, do you want to break up, Kim Jisoo?"

"I DON'T KNOW!" she gets up. "I love you, okay? I know I will never love anyone again like I love you, but I can't trust you anymore, Jennie. I just can't trust you not to stop someone from kissing you. It hurts to be away from you, but the paranoia of being with you and not trusting is much worse."

"What if we start again?" I get up and stop in front of her.

"Like?"

"We started in a way that doesn't suit us. What if we started again? Slowly now, at our pace." she seems to consider what I say.

"So we're done and let's try, our way, now?" she says after some time.

"Only if you're comfortable with it." I say softly and she gets closer to me, making my heart speed up. After watching me for a few minutes, she hugs me tightly.

"I missed that, Mandu." I hear her say softly, the warm air hitting my neck and I close my eyes.

"Can I say that I hated Taehyung forbidding me to sit beside you and that I really wanted to punch him?" it makes her laugh.

"I asked him to do this." She moves away with an amused smile on her face. "So we weren't separated before?" She says thoughtfully.

"I already said no! Why? What did you do?" I squint my eyes at her.

"What would you do if hypothetically I had kissed one or two people?" She looks at me scared.

"Who?" I take a deep breath trying not to get angry.

"You don't need to know."

"Jisoo, don't tease me."

"Irene, I have to say, she is quite insistent and convincing." Jisoo is reflective now "She practically attacked me! Was that how she did you?"

"Who is the other person? Taehyung?" I arch an eyebrow.

"How did you know????" She looks at me scared.

"WHAT? I will kill that idiot and Jin will help me!" I hear her laughter.

"I'm kidding, Jen!"

"I WILL KILL YOU!" I start running after her across the room as her laugh echoes throughout the space.

"Tell us everything!" Lisa almost screams as she and Chae wait for me in my locker.

"Good morning to you too, Lalisa!" I start laughing.

"If you're laughing, then it's okay." Chae's jumping.

"We finished..."

"WHAT?" they scream.

"Let me finish talking, aish!" I roll my eyes 'We finished and agreed to start again, in our own way and respecting our time. That's good, the bad part is that she said she doesn't trust me, that she won't be reassured if we go back because she's going to be thinking I won't push anyone away who tries to kiss me like Kai did." Sigh.

"At least you just have to regain her trust, right? This is easy for you, you know her better than anyone else." Lisa always optimistic.

"This terrain I'm treading with her now is a new situation and I don't really know how to do it." I pout "I'm a little afraid someone will get this before me."

"Good morning, brats!" Jisoo approaches us. She has her hair in a ponytail and her eyes are bright, her mouth so red and her teeth so white, this sight makes me dizzy. "What's up?"

"You are different." Lisa says watching her.

"How different? Good or bad?" She laughs.

"Kim Jisoo!" we heard someone call her and we turned together. A girl our height, familiar but I don't remember where I saw her, runs up to Jisoo and hugs her tightly.

"Huh! Naye..." Jisoo starts to say, but the girl cuts her off while kissing her. Jisoo's eyes are wide and she pushes the girl away. We are all looking for surprises for them. And I'm angry, very angry.

"Why the seriousness, Soo?" the girl smiles and approaches Jisoo again. I know Jisoo is avoiding looking at me.

"This is no place for that. And what are you doing here?"

"Then I'll stop by your house then and we'll finish it." the girl winks "I thought Jin had warned you about my transfer" she rolls her eyes.

"No, no one told me you would come, I would have prepared myself, Nayeon." Jisoo forces a cough and turns to us "This is my cousin, Nayeon, and these are my best friends, Lisa, Chaeyoung and Jennie." the girl analyzes me from head to toe.

"The famous Jennie Kim." Nayeon laughs "This school will be excited from now on."

"Don't even think." Jisoo turns to her "I'm serious."

"Are you busy or available?" Nayeon looks at me and Jisoo looks at me quickly.

"It's complicated, we'll talk about it later, okay?" Jisoo sighs and scowls as if she's being tortured.

"Isn't it amazing that hot people always walk together?" Irene joins the wheel. That's what was missing.

"And who are you?" Nayeon wraps her arms around Jisoo's neck.

"Bunny, this is Irene, cheerleader." Jisoo stands still "Bae, this is Nayeon, my cousin, so to speak."

"It's family then." Irene doesn't take her eyes off Nayeon and that makes me a little relieved. The bell rings and Nayeon lets go of Jisoo, but Irene pulls her back "So, Chu, how about we do the story work today?"

"That's fine with me, how about my house? I'll buy us some snacks. I'll send you the address by message." Jisoo smiles and waves as I drag her to Biology class.
