Kevin and Kara were guided by the Elven knights to their castle. The land they were in was ruled by elves, and they treated every creature regardless of species, language, or ideology with tolerance and acceptance. The Elven Empire was an empire of diplomacy and understanding. Kevin and Kara looked at the castle of the elves, which was in the middle of a grand and massive mountain with a waterfall. It was truly a magnificent sight. "Wow, it's beautiful..." Kara said in amazement. "Oh yeah," agreed Kevin, "wherever we are, you can't beat the view of it. Although, I do hope to maybe see our little blue planet some day." Kara smiled and said, "if we can get back home, Kal and I will find a way to show you. Maybe I can also show you a sunrise in Smallville." She looked into Kevin's dark blue eyes, and he vice versa. Soon they were guided to a throne room where what looked to be the emporer of this kingdom sat upon a royal throne. And by his right side looked to be a beautiful princess, his daughter. Kevin and Kara looked at the emporer and his daughter, and they looked familiar. The Elven emporer looked like Commissioner James Gordon without his glasses if he was an elf, and he wore clothes fit for a king. The princess looked like their friend and James's daughter Barbara back when she could walk, except she had elf like features and wore a beautiful royal gown with jewels, and she was barefoot. All the Elven knights kneeled before the emporer and his daughter, and because they didn't want to come across as rude, Kevin and Kara decided to bow before him as well. The emporer and his daughter looked at Kevin and Kara with great interest and observance. The captain of the knights wandered over to the Elven emporer and said in Elvish, "Cin majestui, mín gar- gefunden tád menschen..." The emporer gave a look of surprise and said, "Menschen! Beleg Odin, ihrer art gar- ú- gesehen einer million ennin! Wo ist cin rad- hain?" He stroked his mustache with intrigue, for in his many years of rule, the Elven Emporer never imagined he would see humans! "Hain aeg uin aewenor, nin emporer," the captain replied. "Bui i fang -o Jupiter..." The emporer said in amazement. Even his daughter was amazed to see these humans. "They look like Jim and Barbara," whispered Kara. "Right?" Kevin whispered back. "Ennas na- mehr. I adaneth tur- ped- Alicorn," explained the guard. Now the emporer was interested in these outsiders. It would be wise, he thought, to communicate and welcome them with hospitality. He looked at the princess and asked, "-iel, gar- cin gemeistert i lammen -o adan plural edain?" The princess nodded and replied, "ich spreche fließend, adar."

"Etsi n- ha, cin soll übersetzen an nin," ordered the emporer. His daughter humbly stood up and replied, "Ja. Ha möchten n- die meisten sael wenn mín waren diplomatisch." She wandered over to Kevin and Kara and said in English, "greetings my new friends. I am Princess Calpurnia, daughter of our Emporer, who rules this land. I am heir to the throne, and I will be translating and asking you questions. You both have my permission to rise." Kevin and Kara both stood up, looking at Princess Calpurnia. Her voice sounded like Barbara. "We're honored to meet you and your father, your highness." Kevin said respectfully. "Where are we?" Kara asked. "You are in the land of Martolk," replied Calpurnia, "this land has not seen humans in a million years. What are your names?" Kevin and Kara let all this information sink in. "My name is Kevin Adam Beaumont," replied Kevin. "And I am Kara Zor El Kent," replied Kara. Calpurnia then translated all this to her father. The emporer nodded with acceptance. "You have a lovely name Kara," complimented Calpurnia. "Thank you," said a flattered Kara, "you remind us of a friend of ours." Calpurnia beamed and said, "thank you. I'm flattered." The emporer cleared his throat and asked, "Wo sind hain o? Wie hast cin tul- na mín dór?" Calpurnia translated, "my father wants to know where you are from and how you came here."

"We come from an alternate dimension," explained Kevin. "We may both look human, but we are different species from different planets," replied Kara. Calpurnia translated all this to her father, and her father gave an encouraging nod, encouraging his daughter to continue. He was happy to see his daughter get along with these two. "What planets are you from?" Calpurnia asked. "I'm from a planet that is the third near a yellow sun known as Earth," replied Kevin. "Earth..." Calpurnia said with fascination. "And I am from a planet far away from Earth," explained Kara, "it is a planet that no longer exists. It was known as Krypton. Krypton was destroyed a long time ago, its people, including my friends and family, dead. My cousin Kal El and I are the last of our people, and we have been living on Earth for many years. The language I spoke to your captain was known as Kryptonese." Calpurnia looked at Kara with great sadness. It reminded her of her mother the empress, who died when she was young. Kevin wrapped his arm around Kara to comfort her, a kind gesture she welcomed. Calpurnia translated everything Kevin and Kara said to her father. The Emporer felt great sadness, as did his knights. They empathised with Kara. Calpurnia looked at Kara and kindly said, "I speak for my father and every elf in this room when I say... We are all sorry you suffered such a great tragedy, Kara Zor El. You have our deepest sympathies." Kara wiped a tear and said, "thank you, your highness. I appreciate this kindness."

"As for how we got here, it was kinda by accident," said Kevin, "Kara and I were minding our business when some portal came out of nowhere and sucked Kara and I in. We were travelling through the vortex, practically through space, time, and reality altogether, and then we fell into your land." Calpurnia looked at Kevin and Kara, and said in a pondering manner, "so you came to Martolk through interesting circumstances..." She translated all this to her father. Even her father was dumbfounded by all this. Calpurnia smiled a little and asked, "I suppose you two wish to return to your respective dimension?" Kara held Kevin's hand and said, "yes. We need help getting back home." Calpurnia translated all this to her father. The emporer thought for a moment, and when he made up his mind, he said, "Nin Zauberer lothron gar- i mittel na hilfe hain, jedoch... Treneri- hain i if mín are na hilfe hain, hain musse helfen ammen in rinn-." Calpurnia nodded in understanding and then said, "my father has wizards that could potentially help the both of you return to your home dimension. However, my father and I will only help you if you help us in return."

Kevin and Kara looked at each other, wondering what to do. Kevin wondered what his father or even Clark would do in circumstances like these. Kevin whispered to Kara, "what do you think?" Kara whispered to Kevin, "maybe we should help them if it means they'll return us home." Kevin nodded and whispered, "yeah, it's the most logical thing to do under the current circumstances." They gave a respective nod of agreement. "We'll help you with whatever you need," assured Kevin. "Wonderful," said Calpurnia as she translated the agreement to her father. The emporer was pleased. Calpurnia wandered over to her father and said in Elven, "Im'm nehmen Kevin a Kara na i stallungen." The emporer nodded and replied, "Etsi n- ha, -iel Calpurnia. Cin're i kalýteros -o όlα -o ammen." The princess looked at Kevin and Kara and said in English, "come with me Kevin and Kara, I shall lead you both to what is important. And we will greatly benefit from your Kryptonian linguistics, Kara."
