I reached work as usual on time. When I opened my cabin door, I couldn't see Elle and there was no coffee on the table.

Is she late? That's so unexpected from her side.

I slammed the door shut, patiently waiting for Miss Miller.

But i just couldn't control myself anymore and I immediately dialed her number on phone calling her. After a few rings she picked up the call.

"Miss Miller, why are you not here yet?"

I spoke with my bossy voice. I couldn't help but feel slightly annoyed. 

"S-sir i-i'm sick..."

I paused. Her voice sounds weak.

"What? So you can't make it to work?"

"I don't think I can.."

I could tell she was close to breaking down. I sighed.

"Fine. I expect you here on Monday then."

I spit with rage. I don't know why but her absence was making me feel agitated.

I'm so used to seeing her pretty face everyday. 

"Yes sir. I-i'll be there tomorrow."

I hung up on the call after, and decided to work.

After a while a knock was heard on the door.

"Come in."

Someone walked in. Oh it's Liam. The one who's always seen next to Elle. 

"Sir, here are the files which Miss Miller asked me to give you."

I inwardly sighed when i heard name. She is still working.

"When did she asked you though?"

I questioned. 

"She called me up a few minutes ago."

"Oh.. you can leave."

He nodded and head out.  A notification popped up on my mobile.
