I can escape from this place within seconds but I can't. There's something stopping me. Even though I wanted to get out of this place, there's something pulling me back.

I rolled my eyes and I let out a sigh.

I knew the reason but I kept denying it.

I don't wanna leave Leigh here with this short girl. Tinitingnan ko pa lang sila magkasama, hindi ko na makayanan. Nakakairita ang babaeng 'yon, hindi ko alam kung personality niya na iyon o pabebe lang talaga siya.

But whatever, I'm just doing this because of Leigh. I owe her everything, that's why I can't leave her here. Even though I'm capable of hurting her and cracking all the bones she has, I just can't do it. I'd rather do that to Cornelia and others.

"Welcome, ma'am. Table for three?" Salubong sa amin nang makapasok kami sa loob ng Ramen House.

"Yes please." Leigh answered and smiled. I rolled my eyes.

Kanina pa sila nag-uusap pero mahina na ito kumpara kanina. I was just silent and I was always making an uninterested face whenever Leigh looked at me. Sometimes I'm faking a yawn to get her attention and it always works.

I smirked behind my shades.

"Spicy sa akin ah! Ikaw?" Siko ni Sindie kay Leigh habang sinusundan ang staff para mapuntahan ang pwesto namin.

"Hindi na ako magtataka kapag nagka-almoranas ka." Pagbiro ni Athaleigh kaya sinamaan siya ng tingin nito.

Nauna na ako sa kanila umupo. I crossed my legs. Sumandal ako sa kinauupuan ko at nilagay ang handbag sa mesa. Napatingin sa akin si Leigh kaya tinaasan ko siya ng kilay. Umiling na lang siya.

"Ew! I just eat spicy food often! Your mouth doesn't have filters as always." Sabi ni Sindie habang tumatawa pero masama pa rin ang tingin kay Leigh.

"I'm so excited to eat na! I've been starving for this. Let's sit, shall we?" Sabi ni Sindie. Ngumiwi si Athaleigh.

Umupo si Vedezma sa harapan ko kaya pareho kami tumingin kay Leigh, hinihintay kung kanino siya tatabi. Malaki ang ngiti ni Vedezma, kampante na kampante ito na tila alam niya na kung saan uupo si Leigh.

I gritted my teeth. Tumama ang mga mata namin ni Leigh, and I was surprised to see her observing my reactions. It feels like she was staring straight to my soul.

My lips parted. Agad ako umiwas ng tingin at nagsalubong ang kilay. Patuloy sa pagsasalita si Sindie, hinihintay umupo sa tabi niya si Leigh.

I swallowed the lump in my throat and gripped my sweater.

"Do you know Miles is planning to build a band? He was asking me if you're interested!" Masayang sabi ni Sindie.

I ignored her and I grabbed the menu to kill the boredom. But I was startled when I felt someone sit beside me. Kahit si Sindie ay nagulat pero agad niya binawi iyon ng ngiti, and I know that it was a forced smile.

"I'm a busy person." Maiksing sabi ni Athaleigh sabay dikit ng upuan sa akin.

She even rests her arms on the back of my chair. Nagmukha tuloy siya na nakaakbay sa akin. Nahuli iyon ni Sindie pero agad siya umiwas ng tingin.
