I woke up the next morning and leah was already awake. I rolled over and checked my phone, it read 7am. Quite early, we don't have training until later and it's a light session. I sat up and looked at leah who was on her phone. She looks amazing, how is it possible to look that good this early in the morning. I was staring at her until she turned and saw me, a smirk appeared on her face.

"enjoy staring, do you?"
I felt myself go bright red

"i was just waiting to see if you would notice me"

"sure you were"

"i was, i was"
i pleaded, leah just laughed

"did you hear the news?"

"what news?"

"ellen fractured her foot. She's out"

"that's bad leah. I hope she's okay but she's a key player to us. Who's been called up to take her place?"

"no one"

"no one? what do you mean no one?"

"i mean no one. Sarina said she's confident in you and beth england doing the job up top"

"that's big boots to fill"

"it's is but you have the potential to fill them. You fill them when you start over her for city"

"that's different. This is on the world stage"

"you'd be surprised how many people watch your city games"

"what do you mean by that?"

"everyone at Arsenal watches city play when you're playing"
i blushed upon hearing that

"really? why?"

"because they like watching you play. They say your movement is incredible. Some of the girls, even the older ones look up to you ella. You're a lot better than you think"

"you play with vivianne miedema! She's the best striker in the world"

"and she's one of the players who looks up to you"

"shut up"
i said in disbelief

"i'm being serious"

"that's made my day"

"it's 7am"

"i know"
I laughed

"have you spoke to luce yet?"

"no, i'm not sure if i want to right now"

"come over here"
Leah said. I stood up and walked over to her bed, i went to the other side and lay down. She instantly grabbed my arm and put it around her as she turned to face me, pulling me close. In that moment my whole world stopped as i looked into her beautiful blue eyes. I eventually snapped out of it and a smirk was plastered along her face.

"don't. say. a. word."
Leah just burst out laughing

"i mean it williamson"

"alright, alright. I won't say a word"
i nodded at her before laughing

"you know, i've never met anyone quite like you"
I looked at her

"what's that supposed to mean?"

"there's just something about you. Something different"

"is that a good thing or a bad thing?"

"no it's a good thing. There's something special about you"

"well thank you leah, wish i could say the same to you"

"i'm trying to be nice you know"

"yeah, yeah"
