"It's late enough for dinner, right?" Hazel didn't want to sound whiney, but she was starving.

Everyone looked at Leo and Alexa. Hazel could see the expression that Leo was giving Alexa. The message couldn't be good.
Alexa sighed."Go on. Write it down and Jason can read it." She was on the verge of tears.
Leo took out the morse code and another sheet of paper. He wrote as fast as he could. Hazel could only catch a couple of words: Tia Collida, Olympian, Powers, Gift, Curse, Doll, Crushed, Charmspeak, and the phrases Never wake up, and Wish I'd never touched
He then proceeded to fold the paper 4 times and slide it across the table.
Jason read it to himself once. Hazel could see him mouth the words, Necklace, Monster, Hera, Park, 5, and Understand
"Check it again and make sure you didn't make any mistakes." Jason passed it back to Leo who read it to himself. Hazel heard him whisper the word Lucky and Immediately.
"Looks good to me. Here, you check." He passed it to Alexa. She mouthed gods and secret
"You don't want to read it do you?" She asked Jason, who shook his head."We'll pass it around. We can each read it ourselves."She passed it to Nico, who passed it to Frank, who passed it to Coach Hedge, who started reading aloud.

But she couldn't make anything out of these words. She was happy when she was handed the paper. The paper said the following:
When I asked Tia about the necklace's price, she just looked at me for a while, before saying 'You can have it.' I thanked her quickly, and walked over to the necklace, but she stopped me before I was halfway there. She told me about how the Greek myths were true, how I was a demigod, and who my father was. She warned me that the necklace came with a gift but also a curse. She told me not to tell anyone, except for the 5 in the park. I didn't understand what that had meant until now. She told me that I could put the necklace on now, and then she left. When I put the necklace on, I immediately felt stronger, smarter, more powerful. But I remembered the curse Hera had told me about. The necklace is like a voodoo doll. This necklace gets crushed, I get crushed. Twist the wrist to hard and my wrist will break. Hold this necklace in your hand to long and I get a terrible fever. But, like Hera had said,it also comes with a gift. With this necklace, I have the powers of all the Olympian demigods. The regular powers. I don't have charmspeak. I can't make earthquakes.And using these abilities makes me super weak. At first you may think, she's so lucky. Sure she has a huge weakness but all that power? I could handle a weakness like that. You can't. Trust me. Its been so hard. Every time i see someone coming close to me I run away. Every day I go to bed tired, yet to scared to fall asleep because of the fear that some monster will find my necklace and I'll never wake up again. I wish I'd never touched that necklace.
