Something I have wanted to hear for so long
Something that held the sweetness of the world but the bitterness of pain
I thought happiness would flood
But I feel no different
I am happy but
a small part of me never wanted to be here
I wanted the comfort of the dark
the absent warmth it gave me
I wanted the change without departing
But alas
I am changing
The comfort of my pain was faint
