Chapter 10: Reunion

The make a friend machine, made in 1960. Around the same time as poppy skyrocketed.

The machine needs power. After going up stairs again, I spotted another tape. Getting to a player, the tape is about someone named Stella who wants to be young again, and spread that to others. Turning around there's another puzzle. But this time it's off the ground, and I'm not fond of heights. Completing the puzzle, the power went out to the make a friend machine. I went back down stairs and turned the machine on. It's creepy eyes opened, looking at me.

I pulled on the levers that get somewhat randomized parts onto the conveyor belt, and watched it go. The machine did it's thing and ended up with a Cat Bee. ..Carol...? No. This one has just been made, theres no way my old co-worker is there. Right...?

I grab the Cat Bee after it bonks into a closed vent door, stopping abruptly. Okay that was a bit funny. Anyway I take the Cat Bee and put it on a scanner. The door opened to another hallway. It's very dark, so who knows what's there. I immediately feel like being watched, and look around to find nothing. I stepped in and checked the doors to find them locked.

With the only option to get through is the hallway, I started for it. But as soon as I'm about to go through, A familiar face shows up. But the face is different, the mouth is open into a grotesque smile full of rows of  razor sharp teeth and strings of drool. The eyes are a little off too. And his hands have claws. Huggy is different... Is he gonna try to kill me? Of course! Run dumbass! I ran out of the hallway with him ducking below the arches and scratching me a little along the way. The vent Cat Bee bumped into is now open, so I make a run for it. The door closes behind me, locking Huggy out.

I keep going anyway, just to find him coming around a different route, staring hungrily at me. I continue on, and as soon as I'm going to go down a hill on the conveyor belt, he appears. I run to the right, with him right behind me. I keep going,  but eventually run into a dead end. I turn around to see him stalking closer. Bracing for death, I raise my arms up defensively and look away.

Nothing comes. I feel his breath, so he is still there. What is he doing? I peek a eye open and he's staring again. He is looking at the bow which used to be his around my neck, and starts to cry, croaking out "..Y/N...?". " Huggy..." We both hug tightly, not letting go for a good while. "What happened when I was gone?" 'Well...'

Huggy POV

We started getting out of the vents, and I told her along the way. I left out one major thing though. Killing everyone. She told me everything of what went on in the alleyway. I felt bad, poor thing. But I felt a bit like that too, so we got something else in common.

After we got out of the vents we came across a dead end. It had boxes blocking the way, so Y/N got an idea. Using the big box she would drop it and break the bridge letting us through. I agreed and stood behind her. Funny how I'm at least twice the height of her.

She pulled the box, and we fell. Since my body is weird I fell kinda sideways, bonked on the railing, and was close to falling. I was slipping off, but she caught me. Holy shit that was scary... We continued on, with me still behind her.

Y/N POV:

When we got to an intersection I picked up a unlabeled tape. I looked around and found a VHS player. Sheesh how many of these things are there? I put the tape in and listened. Huggy got this look on his face the further the audio went. I looked at him when it finished, and he looked like he had seen a ghost 10 years ago when he was still human. "Huggy? What's wrong?" He snapped out of it and looked down at me guilty. "Wait... Did you kill him?" He nodded and I was shocked. "Why didnt you tell me?" 'Because I was scared you would run and not like me...' "Oh... Well I will always like you!" He blushed slightly as I said that and hugged him. We stayed like that for a little, him growing fidgety told me he didnt wanna hug anymore.
