Y/N's POV:

I stifled a yawn and seriously considered slapping the bard in front of me. Walking mindlessly, he seemed to have no destination, but nor was he adventuring, for he ignored all the hilichurl camps within sight. It was akin to watching a zombie. What was on his mind? Did he miss me that much? Crazy thoughts swarmed around my mind and I could practically feel my health decreasing out of boredom.

On the pretext of returning to work, I left, faking a smile, but dashed to my hiding spot the moment his back was turned. I followed him surreptitiously till we almost reached Liyue Harbor and by then, my mind was overflowing with possibilities. What could his true intentions be?

"Tone-Deaf Bard!" a loud child-like voice pierced through the silence. As soon as I spotted the deadly traveler who loved to thwart the Fatui's plans-though he never succeeded, his antics caused us quite the trouble, I was on guard, keeping my eyes on him like a hawk. His noisy and adorable child-sized toy, which was granted the power of flight, vanished and appeared in front of Venti. The toy named Paimon was bubbling with excitement, in contrast to the bard's unusual dull expression.

Not the least bit interested in their conversation, I averted my gaze and stared at the grass instead. Venti was tone-deaf? What was wrong with him anyway? Where had the traveler gotten such a wonderful toy? I couldn't believe I had yet to figure out the origins of a toy. The swish of a sword slicing through the air snapped me out of my thoughts. That cursed traveler was slashing at some slimes, Paimon was nowhere to be seen and Venti was standing as still as a Statue of the Seven. For once, I wasn't interested in analyzing Aether's battle tactics or trying to figure out where he hid his seemingly non-existent Vision. Instead, I was turning my mind upside down for a plan to snap Venti out of his reverie while still remaining hidden. A brilliant idea sprouted in my mind. Fireworks! A bit much just to pull someone back to reality, but it wasn't as if I had anything better to do. It was just a mental excuse to entertain myself.

Release a couple of fireworks. Simple, right? Well, easier said than done...

Merely a new acquaintance of his, I had no idea what color would catch his eye. Having met a young fiery girl in Inazuma the previous week, I had a myriad of fireworks in my inventory, hence why it was the first thing that came to mind. A firework expert was nowhere in sight and we were inching closer to Liyue Harbor by the second. What would the locals think if I released them in the harbor? A new problem presented itself as Paimon tugged at the traveler's arm. The traveler! Surely the all-so-powerful and heroic traveler would notice that loud bright fireworks were not ordinary on an ordinary night.

Plot ideas gathered in my mind and a plan began to form...
