Mystic Falls, Virginia, is a picturesque little town in the southern state where, supposedly, nothing bad ever happens. It is for the rest of the locals, living harmoniously their human lives being oblivious of the monsters lurking around them. Anyone who came to know about the truth was either compelled to forget or of course never made it to their home alive.

The arrival of certain Salvatore has made Mystic Falls get acquainted with a new wide range of varieties of supernatural creatures; Vampires, Werewolves, Witches, Doppelgangers, Originals, Hybrids, Travellers, Siphoners, Heretics, Tribid. It all started with him and ended with him.

He showed through his life that monsters are made not born and they can be curbed and co-live with humans. That's how Salvatore Boarding School for the Young and Gifted was established by Alaric Saltzman and Caroline Forbes-Salvatore in 2019; it was formed out of the old Salvatore Boarding House which was donated to Caroline by Damon Salvatore after Stefan's death.

Caroline and Alaric chose to open the school for untrained witches, werewolves, vampires and any person who had been adversely hit by the supernatural. They have run the school with help from Dorian Williams, who had lost his parents to vampires, Emma Tig, a British witch and guidance counsellor and Jeremy Gilbert, who briefly returned to Mystic Falls. Sometime after its opening, the school received a generous donation of three million dollars from Klaus Mikaelson.

The Salvatore boarding school thrived with many keen supernatural students under the guidance of many supernatural tutors. The Salvatore school's rescue squad called the super squad has been fighting monsters that were once thought not to exist, thanks to Malivore, like Gargoyle, Headless Horseman, Slugs, Jinni, Necromanc er, Dragons, Night Hag, Gorgon, Dryad, Mummy and so on.
