I gestured Enzo to stay quiet. If my sister and mother gets to know that I have a man in my house, they'll definitely ask me a lot of questions.

And I'm in no mood to answer their dumb questions.

"Who's there sis?"

"It was the neighbour."

I shrugged.

"Elle, just a minute, your dad will be right back."

Mom said from the background.

"So, Elle, how's everything?"

Asked my 23 year old sister.

"Good."

"What did you do the whole day?"

She said with a smirk.

"Uhm I went to work, then had dinner.. and I'm home."

"You didn't do anything.. special?"

"Mm I went out to eat."

"Finally!"

She exclaimed. I frowned.

"Finally you stepped out of your comfort zone, or you are always inside that small apartment of yours, like a sloth!"

She yelled through the speakers making Enzo flinch.

He held back the urge to laugh.

"You don't know me."

I said giving her a blank stare.

"I do."

"Aw Elle, happy birthday dear!"

Mom said as she took the phone from my sister.

"Thank you!"

I said with a small smile. Atleast they didn't forget.

"Happy birthday dear!"

Said dad as the camera turned towards him.

"How is my child doing?"
