Rubab POV 

I saw agha jaan entering with hadi grandfather. We all stood up, moved forward, both put hands on our heads for blessing.

They both sat down on a long sofa. I came forward and bowed my head too for blessing. 

Hadi's grandfather lightly put his hand on my head with a neutral expression, but when I moved towards agha jaan, he coldly answered ‘Walkium e salam’ but didn’t give a blessing. I internally sighed.

The room suddenly had an awkward silence, I silently came back to my seat and sat down.

I glanced towards Hadi, his previous smile vanished, and his face showed coldness.

“Ap Rubab Khan ho?” Dilwar Khan (hadi grandfather) asked me with blank faces. Looks like he doesn’t like me.

“Gee” I politely answered.

“kea karti ho?” He asked again

“Currently, I am doing MBBS from A medical college. Last semester.” I responded again..

“Sultan, Is it your granddaughter who did her MBA from Harvard Business School?” He questioned Agha jaan. Agha jaan narrowed his eyes first then nodded.

Ahhh, Did I just compare to myself?.

Agha jaan is upset as I am going to approve the Rishta without any elders. I just can’t see why you are getting angry?? Wasn’t your dream too to make hadi your son in law?

“I have heard that before Shahzaib adopted you. Who were your parents?” He asked harshly.

“Dada abu..” Hadi whispered coldly.

Dilwar khan glanced towards hadi with the same cold eyes. “I want to know from where she belongs too if she is going to be a Shah family granddaughter-in-law.”

“There is no If… she is the only one. Phela jo be Surname raha ho. But ab es ka surname Rubab Hadi Shah hoga. ” Hadi responded with the same cold and dangerous expression. Both started staring at each other with the same force..

His answer gave me comfort again…

Mera Pagal…

“ Sae kaha raha hai abu jaan, hmara rubab sa talaq hai. Shadi ka baad yah hmare bachi hai.” Uncle Majid spoke.

He always supported me unlike Someone who is continuously staring at me....

Again, awkward silence…

Ammi hurriedly got up “Rubab, come help me in the kitchen” She gestured so that I could come outside. I nodded and stood up.

 Before I walked out, Hadi held my wrist In Front of everyone. “Why, aunti? Can you ask someone else? She just discharged from hospital two days ago. Beside, yah servant’s ka kam hain… Rubab esa koi kam nahi kare ga.. I will send more servants If you are lacking in them..”  Hadi quickly protects me like Ammi is sending me to war.

He was the only one who couldn’t get the hint of Ammi..

Agha jaan faked coughed watching hadi holding wrist. But I internally smirked, revenge time on agha jaan…..

Sikander's uncle faked, laughed and said “Hadi, let her go.. We have to discuss something important  ”

Right now, Uncle is thinking that how his kaka become so dumb?
