Chapter 24

I was wearing my best dress. A sweetheart top royal blue dress and my white strappy sandals.

Today, we'll meet our parents. Yeah, we decided to do it all together in this fancy restaurant.

We're here now, Lia.

Nasa may parking lot na kami ng restaurant. I was on the backseat. My Dad's on the driver seat and my Mom was on his side.

Tinanggal ko na ang suot kong earpods para maghanda nang bumaba ng sasakyan.

"Are you sure about this Kyelia Aurora? We're serious here. If this is one of your not-so-funny business again, you're done this year."

I rolled my eyes when Mom threatened me again for the fifth time today.

"This is not a prank Mom, I'm telling you, you're meeting my boyfriend and his parents." ani ko.

"Tell me, are you serious about him? Is he serious about you?" tanong niya pa. Even Dad glance at me here at the back.

"Yes," ani ko.

"What does he look like?" This time, it's my Dad who asked me. I stared seriously at them.

"An angel and his name is Gaddiel," mabilis kong sambit and I even manage to smile a little bago ako nauna nang bumaba sa sasakyan.

Hinintay ko silang makababa saka kami sabay na pumasok sa restaurant.

"We have reservation. Hernandez-Sandoval," wika ko sa babaeng staff na sumalubong sa amin.

"Oh, this way, Ma'am, Sir."

I put my white furred scarf around my shoulders so my top won't be that revealing. I can't help but feel a little nervous as we get nearer and nearer in our reserved VIP room.

Agad kong nasalubong ang mga mata ni Gaddiel nang makapasok ako sa VIP room. Mabilis siyang napatayo nang makita ako. He's wearing a light blue polo shirt and a white pants. But what really got my attention was his newly styled hair.

It's in brush up do! What the hell! May ikaka-anghel pa pala ang mukha ng boyfriend ko.

I tried to held my narrowing eyes at Gaddiel's direction. He looks so handsome right now, what the heck!

Ihinanda ko ang tipid kong ngiti kina Mr. and Mrs. Sandoval na ngayon ay nakatayo na rin at nakatingin sa akin.

His Mom looks so elegant and modest while his Dad looks just like him! Iyong unang tingin palang, alam mo nang mabait. Only that, Gaddiel's thin while his Dad was masculine. Nakaawang ang labi ni Mrs. Sandoval sa akin habang si Mr. Sandoval naman ay may maliit na ngiti sa labi. 

Sa bilis ng tibok ng puso ko ay muntik ko nang makalimutan na nakasunod rin sa likod ko ang mga magulang ko.

I never knew meeting with my boyfriend's family can make me feel nervous like this. Mas mabilis pa nga yata ang tibok ng puso ko ngayon kesa noong nag-Motocross ako o noong sinubukan kong mag sky diving.

"You must be Kyelia," his Mom said. Titig na titig siya sakin. Isang beses niya pang nilingon si Gaddiel bago bumalik na naman sa akin. "You are... so pretty," she said and smiled at me.

My eyes faltered, I can't help it. I can even feel the warm in my face. Lihim akong napalunok. "Yes, Ma'am, t-thank you." I stuttered a bit, but I guess, it's alright. "I'm with my parents." I trailed formally to ease my feelings even just a bit.
