Here it is! Welcome to the grand finale!
This was it.
The finale of Battle for BFDI.
The final three would finally be going home to their families after all they'd been through in the last fifteen days.
Asuka, the Travel Agent.
Angie, the Artist.
And Aria, the Vocaloid Wannabe.
These three girls would win, even if it meant they had to die.
This morning, after they had breakfasted, the three girls walked outside and saw Mono.
"Oh, Asuka, forgive me for putting you and your friends through this. Forgive me, please, forgive me." said their host.
It was almost as if Mono had turned not psychotic, but sane.
"Now, for your final challenge!"
He brought the contestants to the 60 foot cliff from the first challenge.
This time there was no chute and no dumpster.
"You have to make a paper airplane and fly over this cliff in that airplane!" said Mono.
So the contestants made a paper airplane and got in it.
"Good thinking, contestants. You shall fly!" said Mono, slipping into his psychotic self as he pushed the paper airplane off the cliff.
"Ahhhh!" screamed the contestants as they fell.
And then they died.
For the second time, or so it would have been had there hadn't been wind.
Suddenly, it caught the paper plane, sending it flying up.
The contestants were safe now!
"We're safe!" said Asuka.
Angie was angry.
"You," she said. "You pushed us off so we could die!"
Mono turned sane again.
"Oh, Asuka, I had to test you, and you passed with flying colors."
"This is all so exciting." said Asuka.
"Wow, I still can't believe this is happening." said Angie.
"So you're the winner, Asuka." Mono told her.
"And you know what happened to the girl who suddenly got everything she ever wanted?"
"What?" asked the trio of girls.
"She lived happily ever after." Mono smiled.
Suddenly, a plane appeared.
The three girls hopped on it.
The plane flew away.
Asuka smiled as she knew what that meant.
They had finally made it home again.
THE END.
Winner: Asuka.
Runner up: Angie
Third place: Aria
So Asuka wins, but Mono gets off scot free, along with Satan!
So finishes Harmonic Despair. I'll tell you about how this story came to be: I read Despair Island recently, and I got the idea to take the concept of death upon elimination and transferred it onto Battle for BFDI!
