2:44 a.m.

Three things confused Heeseung when he woke.

For one, he was no longer at the HYBE building. He supposed that made sense. Yeonjun and Beomgyu wouldn't have left him for dead in a hallway. Hopefully.

Two, he was in a bed, Jay and Jungwon's to be precise. Now that he thought about it, this made sense too. Both boys would never let Heeseung lay unconscious on the floor of their dorm. Also hopefully.

And finally, number three.

His ex was curled up beside him, fast asleep. Heeseung couldn't wrap his mind around this one, so he chose to ignore it.

The room gradually came into focus as he sat up, rubbing his eyes. His head still hurt, but much less than before. If anything, he was just cold. There was a glass of water resting on the floor by the bed, and he happily reached over Sunghoon for it, mouth parched.

"Is it morning?" The younger boy blinked sleepily, staring up at Heeseung's face.

"Not yet," Heeseung breathed, retracting his arm. "Sorry, did I wake you?"

"No." Sunghoon rolled over, fetching the glass for Heeseung. "How do you feel?"

"Better."

"That's good." He watched Heeseung drain the cup. "You want more?"

"I'm okay for now, thanks."

Sunghoon propped himself up with an elbow, feeling Heeseung's forehead. "Your fever went down."

"Fever?"

"Yeah, you had- have a fever."

"Oh."

They met each other's eyes.

"You can move your hand now," Heeseung alerted softly.

Sunghoon blushed. "Yes. Sorry."

He returned to his sleeping position at the edge of the bed, as far from Heeseung as possible.

"Get some rest," he whispered, shivering.

"You can wear my sweatshirt if you're cold," Heeseung blurted out, hoping the boy would stay awake a little longer.

Sunghoon hesitated. "I- Okay. Thanks."

He grabbed Heeseung's pink hoodie from the floor and put it on, careful not to wake Jay and Jungwon. "Night, hyung."

Heeseung frowned, recalling their fight during the getaway. "I was only joking. You don't actually have to use honorifics with me."

Sunghoon's lack of a response stung a bit. Heeseung laid down, staring through the darkness at the pink blob in front of him. It was cute how oversized his sweatshirt was on Sunghoon. He adjusted his covers, contemplating moving closer.

"Do you want me to get out of bed?" Sunghoon asked quietly, turning to face the older boy.

For the first time that night, Heeseung noticed the dull look in Sunghoon's eyes. The way he carried himself was different too. Less confident.

He paused for a second, thinking.

"No."

Heeseung flipped over, staring at the wall as he wrapped the other boy's arms around himself. It was only for Sunghoon's alleviation, of course. He would've been perfectly okay if left alone in the cold on this large and otherwise empty two-person bed.

Light breaths tickled the back of his neck as Sunghoon shifted to make himself comfortable, keeping a significant space between their bodies. Heeseung drowsily rubbed the back of Sunghoon's hand, resting on top of his waist.
