♡︎♡︎♡︎

It was the four year anniversary of Ruby's death and Lou wasn't taking it so well, not because of the anniversary no.. but because her killer was just let free on the anniversary of his victims death! Lou was furious! And when I say furious I mean it! The other women had never seen her so upset!

Lou wouldn't feel this way if he wasn't drunk driving! Lou wouldn't feel this way he was just paying attention, And Lou wouldn't feel this way if he died instead of her..

And Ruby's last words?

"Forgive him.."

Trust me, Lou tried she really did! But this.. this was her last straw!

"What, he gets released for good behavior?! What type of bullshit is that?! He killed someone!" Lou spoke to the women as she walked around the room back and forth. Tammy cleared her throat and walked up to Lou stopping Lou in her tracks, "The best way to get over it is to forget it, forget him but never forget her. She told you to forgive him, this isn't so forgiving."

Lou sighed and looked down, "I'm going to sleep early tonight." She said heading to her bedroom.

A month later.(Christmas Eve.)

The women had left the loft for a while leaving Lou alone she laid in bed staring at the ceiling, she didn't know what she was doing with her life. Ever since Ruby died she didn't feel the same, she felt confused.
It made her scared to love ever again.

A knock on the door caused Lou to get out of bed and go downstairs to open it.

To her surprise it was him...

"Louise Miller..." he spoke and rage filled Lou's eyes, he held flowers in his hands, roses to be exact... Ruby's favorite flowers.

"What are you doing here? How did you find me? What the hell do you want?!" Lou began yelling she couldn't admit that behind that rage she felt pain so she held it in hoping he'd leave.

"I know you're angry at me Louise but can we talk?"

"Why.. would I EVER want to talk to you?!" She yelled the pain was beginning to flow out. "Please just talk to me.." he pleaded, Lou looked into his pleading eyes and thought about the last thing her lover told her to do.. forgive.. she then grabbed her coat and followed him outside.

They began walking through the snowy city of New York heading straight to a coffee shop.

"Uhm.. these were for you.. I had.. already got some flowers for.. Her.." Dylan said putting out the flowers  for Lou to take, Lou gave him a small smile before gently taking the flowers from his hands.

When they arrive at the coffee shop and got seated Dylan began talking, "First, I'm sorry for your lost.." he began and Lou gave a small "Hm." before looking down.

"I'm sorry for taking her life, I didn't mean to drink and drive. In fact, I wasn't drinking and driving I only had alcohol in my system because the night of the accident I was at a celebration party for a friend.. when I got a call about my twelve-year-old daughter. I was speeding, I didn't see Ruby coming." Dylan explained which made Lou look up.

Lou began feeling sympathy but didn't let her guard down just yet, he could be lying.

"When the accident happened I was left in the same hospital as Ruby and my daughter..."

All of a sudden this anger towards this man started to go away slowly... "I tried asking if Ruby and my daughter was okay but I was told they died at the same time... for those four years I couldn't help but to think it should've been me that died and they should've lived. Everything was my fault."

Lou broke down after he finished, "I'm sorry." She said wiping her tears away but more came out after each wipe.

"It's fine.. I'm sorry Lou but I must go now." He said and Lou wished him off.

Louise went back to the loft with the flowers still in her hands, she went up to her bedroom and began writing.

Dear Ruby,
I had a talk with Dylan Smith today, and it made me realize maybe I was holding onto too much anger.. And behind that anger was a lot more sadness. I'm sorry Ruby I know you told me to forgive him but the day they told me you were dead I couldn't help but to feel anger. Please forgive me.
But now I know the truth, and I offer you the truth as well.
The truth is, He didn't mean to kill you.. he was trying to make it to his daughter. You were in the same hospital as her.. and you died at the same time as her. She was twelve... me and Dylan dealt with grief at the same time but his was also with guilt and I didn't make it any better with my horrible anger for him.
But now I forgive him... and now I have to release you and your soul away from my grieving soul.
I love you Ruby.

Sincerely, Louise aka your favorite girl♡︎.

After writing the note she took the flowers and the note to Ruby's grave.

She placed both objects onto her lovers grave.

It was her time to let go...
