I apologize in advance if this isn't what you imagined, this one was a little hard.

My eyes laid on the page in my hands. I tapped along the ink, expecting something to happen. "What..." I grew frustrated, holding the paper in one hand and walking out of my room.

"Luisa?" I called out to my sister, watching as she struggled to move a plant.

"Yes?" The moment she heard me, she backed away from the pot. "What's up?"

I walked down the stairs, approaching her. "You... looked like you were struggling."

"Struggling? To what?" She scoffed, leaning against a pillar.

I pointed to the potted plant with my eyes. "Move that."

"What? What do you mean? I'm fine, I'm fine. Don't worry about me." I studied her face, noticing the beads of sweat that formed on her skin.

"Are you sure?" I knew she wasn't telling me something. It was obvious, painfully obvious. "Mirabel said something about the magic fading."

"Fine!" Luisa finally cracked, beginning to sob softly. "It's heavy! The plant! It's heavy!"

Seeing her cry made me feel some sort of way. I've never seen her cry, I never thought that I would ever see her cry. She's always brave and strong, always looking out for everyone. I wrapped my arms around her, holding her securely. "It's okay."

"It's not okay! Y/n, I'm losing my gift."

I pulled away and held my piece of paper in front of her. "You see this?" I pointed at the bird that I drew. I tapped on the ink. I tapped on it viciously and nothing happened. "The bird it's still on the paper. It's supposed to... pop out! Y'know? It's supposed to come to life! Anything I draw is supposed to do that." I tapped on the ink again, watching as the bird finally flew out of the page. "There!"

Within a matter of seconds, the bird melted into black ink and spilled onto the floor, "shit." I ran over to the mop to quickly clean up the ink before it dried. The drawing wasn't supposed to melt like that. It was supposed to stay alive and healthy.

"Your magic," Luisa's eyes widened as she stared at me clean the ink mess. "It's... fading too?"

"Yes. I have no clue what's going on. Now can you help me?" I scrubbed on the ink stain. "Mariano is proposing today, this place has to be clean! Squeaky clean!"

"Right!" Luisa ran to grab some cleaning supplies and chemicals. "This is bad."

"No shit," I muttered under my breath.

   "What's going on here?"

My head snapped towards the voice, my body tensing up. "I'm sorry, Abuela. I.. spilled some ink."

"I told you that you couldn't make your creations here in the living room. Keep all of your mess either in your room or outside! How many times do I have to tell you?" My body frame shrunk when her voice rose, flinching a little.
